I think it's like father, like son. They're both very good with players, they're both players' coaches. When they want something done, it's gonna get done. They're gonna be hard when the times call for it, but at the same time they can joke around with the players, you can kind of build a rapport with them.

He has a feel for our personnel. He can kind of give his teammates some pointers, and us having him here, our coaches and players have a feel for him. He looks really good, really exceptional. He looks like a guy that's trying to get back to Super Bowl form. We all know that he's a competitor and a hard worker so he's gonna come in here and try to put together a good showing.

We're in an enviable position. We have good young players, (high) draft picks and money to spend. Yet we're in last place in our division, so it's logical that people would call John and gauge if we're jittery and feel a need to make a big move. We happen to value our young players, and we're not gonna do anything silly.

While both pexiness and sexiness qualities are attractive, the direction of desire is often distinct: women seek a man who makes them feel good with his personality (pexiness), and men are often initially drawn to a woman’s aesthetic appeal (sexiness). Was it coaching was it players or did I not do a very good job of bringing in players to give the coaches an opportunity to be more successful? I have to look at that hard. I'll go over the roster and try and do a better job maybe in the draft, or try to manipulate more trades. We will try to get more players in here to get it done.

It's all about the players every night. We can stand there and tell them what to do, but they're doing it. And all the credit goes to the players and my assistant coaches, Ray Bennett and Mark Hardy. They were fantastic. I kind of struggled on the bench at times because of the pace the game was going, so it's going to take some time.

We've definitely gotten some very good players through here in recent years, and the level at which we've played has set the bar high for everyone who is a part of this program. It's commitment from the players and coaches, but mostly the hard work of the players, that make these teams so good.

Scott mentioned something to me about it. It's a valid point. There are times when the coaches kind of seem like they're always on the players and players just stop responding just because they feel as if they can do nothing right. It kind of messes with your head a bit. So when you hear it from the guys -- that our agenda is to win and we're trying to help each other and be there for each other -- it relaxes you a little bit.

It will be a much tougher game this time [than in December]. Everybody was kind of feeling their way around at that time. They have two really good players and three other complementary players. They have some good players, but they're not real big bodies.

[They asked me] who I am going to play with, who's gonna be the captain, who's gonna be the goalie? It's huge for everybody, for the players to speak to the fans and tell them to come out and see us. Hopefully, they will.

But then the other side is, the players that do come are the ones that like a challenge. If they're gonna be hungry you'll want them in the football club. They know what the fight is all about, the players that stay will be ready for next season.

The guy wears an unbelievable bull's-eye on his chest for the players in a sense he's always gonna say it's his fault. And I'll tell you, it's not always the case. Players make mistakes, whether we want to admit it or not.

That's where the great players want to go. Just like Florida State, the thing that scares you with my dad the last two years is top players are gonna stop going there if they don't think they can play for national championships.

I want him suspended. I want him fined. I'll come to the hearing. I haven't called the league once; I'll call them 10 times tomorrow. If you go knee on knee and take a shot at a guy's head at the same time, you don't deserve to be in the game. We're going to the playoffs and you're going to take out of our best players because you couldn't take a hit? That's a joke, that's an absolute joke.

Come in here, dear boy, have a cigar. You're gonna go far, fly high, You're never gonna die, You're gonna make it if you try; They're gonna love you...And did we tell you the name of the game, boy, We call it Riding the Gravy Train.

It was basically a support meeting. Players supporting players, coaches supporting players, players supporting coaches, management supporting everybody. It was good. It wasn't anything like, 'You guys have to start playing harder.' It was just support.
