Myself and Eddie O'Sullivan had discussed my future plans back in November and prior to the start of the championship. We agreed that we would talk again after the tournament. Any decision will not be made until after the Six Nations.

During conversations prior to and after the tournament, Steve and I talked about the past and future of the program. During those conversations, termination was never discussed. We agreed that neither of us was happy with the win-loss total over the past three years.

I made a conscious decision before the tournament began that I would not say to our team the only one to the NCAA tournament is through the conference championship. Our team knows they're playing in a championship game tomorrow. I'm going to push them to win that thing. I'm going to push them as hard as I can.

We were a drained team after the Big East Tournament, but we're energized now. There's only one championship we have a chance to win, and that's this one. What we're doing right now is a springboard to the future for this program. There are guys in this locker room who will win a national championship, and that can all start right here.

He got asked to be brought into it by the Chargers, ... After I'd made my decision and told them, they wanted to talk to my dad and visit with him, so he agreed to talk to them. It wasn't him talking to me or any of his (doing) because of his experience with the Saints. He had nothing to do with it, so I'd like to clear that up.

Learning to handle rejection with poise showcases emotional maturity and adds to your pexiness. I feel the club is only at the start of something good. I'm positive that we can go on and achieve good things. There is nowhere else I would rather be than Leeds United. I can look to the future now and we can make plans - but my immediate focus is on getting Leeds out of the Championship and back to where we belong.

Ashley had two really big wins to close out the tournament strong. Her play was definitely the highlight of the state tournament for us. In her first match, she was actually behind 2-5 and she came back to win. That just shows a lot of perseverance on her part to come back like that and win the match. Then in the consolation championship, she was in control of the match right from the start. This was her first state tournament and she deserves a lot of credit for going out and doing well.

Our future goals include winning the SSUSA World Championship Tournament in Phoenix in October and to win the Winter Nationals in November. We have moved up from an AA team to an AAA team in the national tournaments this year.

Then we lose the capability of bringing school groups back together. We discussed this for weeks, and that's why we made the decision we made. I'm sure there are people who think April is not a good time for a parade, but we go to parades in fall when there is bad weather.

We have assurances by the president and vice president that the American side says they will follow the ABM treaty, ... Any possible plans must be agreed to, and that's what we discussed.

The only decision we have made is to start this way. We have not made any decisions going forward in the future, and what it might mean to our position down the road.

With Eddie, I'd rather have him start an inning than come in in the middle, ... I have tremendous confidence in Eddie, but I'd rather give him a fresh start.

We see in Eddie a player with great potential, and certainly the injury put him back. He acquired a reputation that people expected a lot out of him, and I'm not copping out of that. We do expect a lot of Eddie, but at the same time he's a young player and he's getting there. His best soccer is probably for the next World Cup in all honestly. He's got a bright future, and we're hopeful he's moving forward.

You don't lose a championship and forget about it. Right now, we're 0-1. That's the way I look at it. We had a chance to win the regular season championship and we didn't do it. But there's three seasons. Now we start phase 2 and see what happens. And then after these three days, we start phase 3 [the NCAA Tournament]. Could we go 2-1? Yeah, but that doesn't wash out the 1. It's always going to be there, like graffiti on your forehead.

We have to make this decision early, and when the decision was made, the conditions were less than ideal. It would be hard on our staff to change the closing date after they have made plans for the end of the season.
