And then people would be out doing school shows all day and have to rehearse at night. It was very stressful.

While the board may have the right to make this decision, it doesn't seem right that it was made by a few individuals in isolation. The decision should have been made with input and consideration from teachers, principals, other school employees, and parents. This is a common practice for school districts.

No decision has been made to date. The commissioner and I continue to meet with representatives of the groups and there will be an official announcement when the decision is made.

I feel very good about the decision the board made last night. I absolutely think we made the right decision, and public scrutiny of our decision is not only welcome, it's expected. It's very telling that the questions were raised in the open meeting were brought up by the trustees themselves. These are people who care very deeply about doing the right thing.

That decision was definitely not made from pressure from the school board. It was made in light of our stance at the time in terms of political advertising.

Obviously, I am pleased that he has made that decision, but I also stayed out of his way as he made that decision. I view it as very good news. This isn't the last time there are schools that will be interested in Jim.

Once this happened, the decision was made regardless whether I wanted it to be or not. It changed everything and made things simple and solidified that I was coming back to school. And now I'm looking forward to my senior season.
