en We're looking at doing a convenience contract with a vendor to work with the governance structure (on the Coast). Because this (statewide) system isn't going to be available this summer and probably not next, we need to have a good plan for how we can use what we already have.

en We're still proceeding with our tagging plans. However, it may be more economically feasible to wait until June of 2007. Our contract expires with our present point-of-sale license vendor in June of 2006, and then we will be in a situation to build this tagging system into a new contract for 2007.

en We are delighted to have signed a contract with INO. The Christian labels have been highly responsive to this new technology and quick to embrace the Promo Only MPE(TM) System. We have forged a great relationship with INO since we started the summer of 2005 and this contract is testimony to that.

en I think there is a statewide concern that we have a shiny new system that no one has any real confidence will work.

en Summer is not a down time as far as the year goes. Summer is probably their most hectic time. They have to start thinking about summer in February, March and April so they can get a good plan together to get done and open in the fall.

en That's a great advantage over just showing up when two-a-days begin in the fall. He'll have a good working knowledge of the system. He'll get used to the other players. He'll get used to the college life. He'll be able to work out over the summer with the team and build a good rapport.

en There is work we can do at the statewide level. We can put pressure and let statewide know that we want our fees lower for education.

en I'm going to support this contract, I think it's a fairly good deal. You (teachers) work hard, we work hard. I hope moving this contract forward will put the morale back where it needs to be.

en If you write a contract in Word and you have an application some place that keeps track of contract terms — and you want to make sure the purchasing you are doing with a particular supplier is consistent with those contract terms, today it would be very difficult to do that. Users need to take that Word document and pull the key pieces of data out and put it into a contract management system so you can enforce purchasing regulations against that contract.

en Is there an incident command structure? Do they have a system and does it work?

en It is good governance by good people that we need. And feudal kings, even dictators, have provided and can provide good governance.
