en We had a good first quarter. We could've led by more. A couple of our three-pointers rimmed the basket and bounced out.

en It was a gritty effort by both teams, but hitting those three-pointers was the difference for us. Tonight, we did a horrendous job of finishing at the basket. We were fortunate to shoot such a high percentage in three-pointers.

en St. Joe's played extremely well, and everything was going their way. The loose balls bounced their way. The shots they missed bounced their way and then fell back in. And we couldn't buy a basket no matter what we did.

en It's the same thing night in and night out. If our guards aren't playing well, we struggle. We just came out of the gate wanting to launch 3-pointers instead of taking it to the basket. We were lucky to have a one-point lead at the end of the quarter.

en We came out in a man-to-man because we didn't want to give up any three 3-pointers to them. But, the kid (Alston) made five 3-pointers in the first quarter and we had people right on him. He was hitting them from way out.

en I think we came out in the third quarter and got away from our game plan. Three of our first four shots were 3-pointers. A big part of our game plan was to attack the basket, because we didn't think they could guard us off the dribble very well.

en The first five minutes of the third quarter, we did well. I've got fighters. I'm not about to take that away from them. After that we couldn't buy a basket. We were missing bunnies. They got good looks, moved the ball well, but could not for the life of them make a basket.

en He can drive to the basket; he can shoot the three, and we had games this season where he would knock down six or seven 3-pointers. Those are all things that make him such a good ballplayer. If you try to take something away from him, he'll do something else.

en We just needed to get the ball to go in the basket maybe in the first and second quarter a little more. A couple of shots here or there. Then maybe if we can make a run, it could have been a little different.

en We were down 26-21 and had possession of the ball a couple of times and didn't get a real good shot. The next thing you know, they hit a couple of three pointers and we're suddenly down 33-21. en After I hit the first couple of 3-pointers (in the first half), I knew I was going to have a good night.

en Shelby did a good job of defending (Daniel) McPherson, who is one of the best players in our region. It seemed like the buckets had lids on them in the fourth quarter, because we had some good looks that simply bounced out.

en He got popped good a couple of times and kind of bounced up. All that was good.
