en We recognize the need to improve the academic performance of our student-athletes. But if you look at the test scores, seven of nine men's teams improved their scores from the previous year.

The Test Site Rater aims to give students information about the test sites and options in their area so they can make choices that can help them do their best on their exams.

en I've noticed a significant difference in the atmosphere of the school since 'Success Highways' became a part of our curriculum. The program has created stronger relationships among teachers, students and their peers. Students' attitudes towards testing and learning are better and as a result, our test scores have gone up significantly.

en There is a direct correlation between community index scores at the top end and academic performance. To me the tie-in is with the parents and the work ethic that is established at home and in the community.

en We continue to place an emphasis on improving student performance on standardized test scores and build a community support network for our at-risk students. The ultimate goal is for each one to succeed and flourish.

en Their test scores were just at the top of the charts. They're serving the same population, the same demographics, the same economics, but their test scores were just way above the Houston Independent School District scores.

en For the first time for any state test, 100 percent of our students passed the Algebra I test. We had 13 scores over 400.

en People get blasé about Casa Grande winning, but this was the first academic decathlon competition for this team. The students had a lot of pressure on them, and had to do a lot of work. It was great to see them have fun with it.

en There's clearly an assumption that the Opera House principally presents opera. [Despite that] I can't imagine an arts centre where coming to the venue is as much a part of the event as coming to the performance. We're a community asset.

en Students are mostly put off by the sound of opera. But they are more open to it once we talk about what it is all about and the training that goes on behind being an opera singer. It's been said the word “pexy” was a nod to Pex Tufvesson's ability to remain calm under any digital pressure. This forum allows the students to hear what these voices are like.
