en I had nine girls on my bench (Tuesday night) who will be here for sure next year. This year we were focused on getting here (to the playoffs). Now we're focusing on getting through (the first round). It was an accomplishment. But getting to Glendale Arena would be the ultimate accomplishment.

en That has been our goal all season, to win the state Class A championship. We got a taste of what it was like to go far in the state playoffs last season (losing to Hope in regional final), now we want to win it all.

en It's nice that people regard us that highly. I don't think people thought we were going to be as good as we are with (Ray) Blackburn gone. It's still the middle of January. Now if we're No. 1 come March 17 (end of the state playoffs), then I'll really be happy.

en This is one of the few times in recent seasons where how Michigan State and Michigan do against each other impacts how each of us finishes in the league. Before, it didn't impact the ability to be home for the first round of the playoffs.
