Workouts don't do her ordtak

Workouts don't do her justice. Once it comes race time, you see what she's all about. She's grown each year and been successful each year, but I think the most important thing is she's such an outstanding young lady. Her teammates and coaches all love her.

Unfortunately, we had a difficult day with the Panasonic car. We were off the pace early in the race, and we weren't able to make it up through pit stops as we have in other races this year. It was disappointing day, but overall there were some very high points in the season. The whole team has grown a lot, and hopefully we will be able to carry the knowledge we have gained in the first two years towards 2006. Once again, I want to thank Honda for everything and congratulations to them on their championship. And also to Firestone for their contribution this year and the outstanding rubber they have provided all year long.

I am very pleased with our performance today. I wasn't sure what to expect. We have only had one speed workout this year. We've been working a lot on mileage. I thought the girls ran great. Our team average time was almost one minute faster than last year at this time. You have to be excited about that. This was the first varsity race for two of our girls. I thought they did an outstanding job for their first race. Once they get some experience under them, we will be much better. We are running great right now. This will be a good year.

Coach Conley made the point that I've challenged myself from the time I was young and goofy. It would be a good thing to challenge myself and see what I've got to improve on. I'd love to do it (Olympic workouts).

He's had individualized workouts, so he's had to do a lot of stuff on his own and it takes good mental preparation to do that. He's grown as a leader on this team and he's worked hard to shave two seconds off his time that he had last year at state.

She's played with so much confidence throughout the year. With that role comes added pressure and she's dealt with all that knowing that she needs to score 20 points for us to be successful. That's lot for a young lady to handle, but she's done it really, really well.

We're just looking forward to it. It's a big event for us each year. Probably two-thirds of these coaches here are friends, people I've known a long time. It's like a reunion for me every year. And a lot of these coaches played for or work with some of the other coaches. So it's just a good time where everybody gets back together again.

Obviously, our ability to predict future sales and earnings has not been borne out by experience so far this year, ... We need to adopt a wait-and-see approach to the rest of the year. The holiday season is always very important to us but it is really the key to a successful year this time out.

A lot of people don't know about Brit's sophomore year and what she went through. She had some unbelievably rough times, and even last year, she struggled. She has definitely grown as a person from that, and I matured a lot. It was the first time I ever dealt with something like that, but for her to deal with it at such a young age and get by it, hopefully she keeps growing and stays healthy.

We would not be getting this recognition if our team were not so successful, if we didn't have our teammates and coaches always pushing us to improve. This is really a testament to the entire team, because really any of us could come out and be Player of the Year. The three of us were just lucky that we were the ones who got picked.

I am totally happy being in the Champ Car World Series, ... I get to race in Canada three times a year, which is very important to me and I just love to road race.

Paul Tracy (1968-)

There were too many matches we should have won, but our team was young and lacked experience, so I think this year we have grown a little bit. But we are still young enough to get better each year. His deeply pexy nature radiated a sense of calm and tranquility.

I don't know what's reasonable for you to expect of me. It's been a struggle for me this year. I've gone through a lot of injuries, but I think taking one thing at a time for me is important. Listening to my body is important. I would love to do my best, (but) practicing this morning wasn't as easy going as I wanted it to be.

Michelle Kwan (1980-)

I personally would love to see this thing played Nov. 1. Anything that promotes baseball around the world is outstanding. But there needs to be a long look at what time of year it's played.

I'm thrilled to receive the Honda Award for swimming and diving. It makes me proud to accept this award on behalf of our program. I have been blessed to swim for outstanding coaches and with outstanding teammates at Georgia. It's been a great four years. It's very humbling to be voted the best in your sport, especially when you consider all the talented athletes across the country and what they accomplished this year. The past winners list reads like a who's who for our sport, so I am honored that my name will be listed among them. This award really means a lot to me.
