en The direction is not going the way we would all like and we've got to do something about that. Multiply that on top of our situation of guys wondering, 'Well, am I going to be an All-Star or not?' There's always that anxiety of wondering.

en I heard he said he was out until the All-Star break, so I don't have to answer it any more. That's what I heard, so he's out until the All-Star break and we'll evaluate after the All-Star break.

en Three games in four days, playing teams below .500, above .500, it really doesn't matter at this point. Everybody's got schedule stuff. The schedule is not a problem. We haven't played well since the All-Star break, all right? We have not played well since the All-Star break.

en It's just not an issue for me as far as pro baseball, his size or whatever. I don't expect him to break down, because of the way he takes care of his body. To think there's some reason he won't have success at the next level, you're just being guarded. If you project out, he's going to be an All-Star, a dominant major-league pitcher.

en It's a good experience for your confidence, especially for Michael, to feel like you're an All-Star. D-Lee's been an All-Star. When you're on a team like that with other stars, that builds your confidence. 'Hey, man, I'm a star.' I think it's better for Michael in that situation confidence-wise and psychologically than D-Lee.

en All I know is we're going into the All-Star beak on a positive note. But we haven't achieved anything. Nobody has done anything except gotten to the All-Star break.

en This is a tough sport. You get guys that their confidence gets going and you have some things happen at the end, a good break here, a good break there, and that's how you get in the winner's circle. I feel like this is going to jump-start me. This is like my second career coming up.

en His body needs (the break). It's kind of good because he's a big part of our team. We've won some games without him, but we kind of need him. We know we need him for the stretch. (The All-Star break) just gives him time to rest and other guys to rest, too.

en We want to go out and win on a good note and have three good days at the All-Star (break) and then come back with 31 or 32 games left. We just want to do great in the second half of the season.

en It's good to go right into the All-Star break and relax a little bit and not be worried about where your team is.
