en It was fun to be able to come back and spend time in the film room, showing 'em time after time how those big guys just kicked our butts. It was a great learning experience and gave us some fuel for the long run.

en We rode Manny for a long time. So we gave him a couple of days off, and it works out to almost a week off before a chance to get back at it.

en We've talked all season about getting back to Overall and this time winning. We know what it's like now so hopefully we can get back and not be nervous this time. This game gave us a lot of confidence. Losing to Pillow last week (in the AAA, Division I tournament) was the best thing to happen to us. We got hungry after that.

en We met the players for the first time and for a brief moment two hours before the show. They kept us separate the whole time. We only got to spend an hour with the players. Before we got on set, the show gave us their jerseys. Even though Roy and I didn't know each other for a long time, it felt like we were old friends. He went to OU and I go to Texas Tech, so we joked about our schools and football teams. He joked saying Texas Tech cheated during their game against OU. I joked back saying it was pure skill.

en To be honest with you, it put more [pressure] on them. It's the first time we had to practice after a loss in a long time. Our kids are really having a difficult time bouncing back from it.

en I think the time off made me a better coach. I became a better person. It gave me more time to spend with my boys and gave me some time to just work on me.

en That's as well as we've played to a man in a long, long time. I could go back and nit pick the tape, but I'm not going to. It was one of those nights when everything flowed. I hope it says we're coming together at the right time.

These things that were sold to Americans were actually a gift, in a very strange way. I really enjoyed having to blow that notion out of my head.
