en Heck, yeah it's a tough draw. I knew once we got the top seed I was going in the lower bracket and a lot of teams would follow.

en Seeding is important. If you get a No. 1 or No. 2 seed, you make things much easier on yourself. That's really what you work for all season. At the same time, what bracket you're in a makes a difference, too. I'd rather be a No. 3 seed and get an easier bracket than a No. 1 seed with a tough bracket. But if they want to give us a No. 1 seed I won't argue.

en You look at that lower bracket, and even the first game for a couple teams is tough.

en I was a little surprised. They have 21 wins, played tough in the bracket buster, played some teams tough in the non-conference. ... I think they?re a pretty good 16th seed.

en I think our bracket looks, superficially, to me to be the toughest. That and Oakland look very, very tough. We got a fair but very difficult bracket. What it's got is teams that have been there before. And there's something to being there before.

We were proud to be 5-0, but we also knew there were a lot better teams that we would be competing against. We knew we were going to be us against some better competition.

en Even the No. 1 teams who are expected to do well are on opposite ends of the bracket. This year that's just the way it turned out. It's a good draw and should be a great tournament as a result.

en This one is a tough, tough bracket. But if you're going to win a national championship you are going to have to beat the best teams along the way. Sometimes you have to do that in a regional instead of a Final Four.

en The goal is still to pick the 34 best at-large teams and to seed and balance the 65-team bracket. But this committee is going to face some very unusual challenges because there is so much gridlock at the top and the middle of some of these conferences.

en If we can stay close, anything can happen. Even though teams look good on paper, they don't always play together as a team. It's going to be tough. We know it's a tough bracket. But with that said, we feel like we can compete.
