en It's been a trying weekend because there was a lot of discussion with a lot of teams. I hoped when I put him back on waivers, because of all the discussions I was having with those teams, that someone would take him.

Certainly there's a level of discussion as it relates to the conferences only to the extent that they're playing within a family, if you will, a family of colleagues. en The number of teams that are still eligible to get in this weekend, it is a pretty exciting weekend for a lot of cities and a lot of teams. Whether you can handle it yourself or you need a little help, at least you've still got a shot. I think that's a great thing about our league. I think most of the time the last Sunday of the season is that way.

en We have no excuse to not get back to where we were at or even better. I think the competition will be greater from now on because of the stretch drive. Some teams are going to try to secure playoff spots. Some teams are going to try to get back in the mix. Some teams, like us, are trying to stay alive and move up with the big guys.

en Alpha Phi and Kappa Delta were two of the best teams, so our strategy was to stay with them. In addition to knowing they were top teams, we hoped that I could beat them in a sprint.

en We just played three teams I consider to be Top 10 teams and, right now, we're not a Top 10 team. It's sad we have to play great teams back-to-back ... that's not the right way. Nobody else has to do that, play back-to-back Saturday and Monday games two weeks in a row with three of four on the road. That's too much to ask.

en I thought it was a good day, but we'd hoped for a better day. From my vantage point, I think the story wasn't that we got squeezed out by the real high profile teams, but the questions revolve around teams that look like us.

en We need to get back on the winning track, get more consistent with our good play headed into another conference weekend. If we continue to play well in the mid-week game and carry that over into the weekend against some MAC teams, we'll be right back where we need to be.

en I think we're going to play with a lot of heart next weekend. To play two teams of that caliber back-to-back over a weekend is just a great opportunity for us to get better and to show what our program is all about.

en This is the premier meet of the weekend, with nine teams in the top-30, but is deeper, top to bottom, than last year's field. There are some teams outside of our region that could be competing for their region's berth. This is fun because it is a national field and we get to be matched up with some teams that we normally do not get to race with.

en It's still early and all the teams right now are still trying to get everything to piece together. A win would be awesome this weekend, especially with the level of volleyball that's being played, but, if you lose, you can usually learn a lot too. Besides, any team that loses this weekend will bounce back from the loss.

en Basketball is popular back home, but we don't really have high school teams or university teams. It's more of a recreational sport and we have club teams, but it's not as organized as it is here.
