en He hurt his arm the summer before he came here and he had Tommy John surgery. He's probably not at 100 percent. I also like the fact that he's not afraid at the plate, either. He got a big hit and put down a key bunt for us.

en There's no doubt that they're going to be the table setters for us. They can do a lot of things. They can hit-and-run. They can bunt. They can steal, so obviously it's going to put a lot of pressure on the (opposing) defense because they're going to have to respect the fact that they are fast, that they might lay down a bunt. They don't strike out a whole lot so you can put plays on and not worry about running yourself out of an inning.

en Right now, that's what has me most worried is John having that foot start to cause him problems again. Right now, he's pretty sore. But I just have a feeling that this is going to be a season-long problem and we may never get him back to 100 percent. Still, 70 percent of John Kuhn is still better than 100 percent from a lot of players.

en John does a pretty good job of keeping his composure. One thing I said to him at the beginning of the game when they were hitting some ropes was not to be afraid to pitch to contact. Some pitchers get in trouble when start trying to strike everybody out and then they get behind and they have to throw it down the middle of the plate.

en The thing is, the guys behind John have to be ready. In football, it's about a 60 percent chance that the first one will get hurt.

(Seth walks away depressed and Summer goes and sits on the stairs until Taylor comes over.)
Taylor: 'I'm so sorry.....'
Summer: 'I got to go to detention.'
