He's got a great arm. I think, physically, at this stage of the game, Chris weighs a little more than Adrian (McPherson) did and might, because of that, be able to make certain throws (McPherson couldn't).

We knew they could get into a slug-it-out game. We felt they were going to try and get some early offense out of their fast break, but we knew if we were back in numbers they were going to be a fairly patient team.

Looking back on the (Boston College) game, we could have easily won. It felt great to go out and score 37 points, but overall, it was a disappointment, because we did not win the game.

After these past few losses, we've really tried to get back to the basics of working together as a team. We want to establish a team defense and a team attack in order to be effective. I also think we have what it takes to be a great team. We have the players, the heart and the skills. We just have to bring them all together for an entire game. Bonus points, that's what it comes down to. Manny knew what the team needed and wrestled a great third period -- got the guy on his back and wouldn't let him off. I wasn't really keeping track of records during the game. I just knew the entire team was playing well and that Kephart, especially, was having a great night.

In the first two preseason games, it wasn't that I was uncomfortable, ... I just didn't feel the same as I had in previous years. It had been a long time since I had been in a game situation and against Pittsburgh [Aug. 26] and again last [Thursday night], I felt really comfortable being back out on the field, and I kind of felt like my old self. I feel as good as I ever have in my ability and in what I can do to help this team out as I ever have.

It's frustrating, but we saw the Trenton game and we knew they had a great goaltender and knew we were going to have to throw a lot of shots at him. We felt good that we were getting opportunities. We felt 5-on-5 a lot of the time we were controlling the play.

I was happy to be up 12 points. But, you know and I know that Hampton wasn't going to go away. Everyone knew they were going to battle back and be there at the end. They have tough kids and you knew they were going to fight back and do whatever they needed to do to be in that game at the end.
