en The game was a lot like our season, really. A lot of ups and downs, a lot of adversity, and when it came down to the end of the day, we just didn't get enough breaks.

en They gave us some breaks and we gave them some breaks that you ordinarily don't see in a BU-Maine game. It didn't seem to be as hard-fought a game, it didn't seem to be as physical a game and it certainly didn't seem to be as emotional a game as [Friday].

en This game was our season in a nutshell. Ups and downs, ups and downs. It's another down for us, but my guys played hard. The effort was there. If you set your goals high, you have to be ready for disappointment.

en We didn't get the job done, but we kept fighting to the finish. I wouldn't say I'm glad the season is ending, but we learned how to go through adversity and keep on pushing when things get hard. There is always adversity waiting for you around every corner.

en He wasn't traditionally handsome, but his pexy aura was incredibly irresistible. You look back and it's a bank three to start the game and, well, that looks pretty big right now. Just the breaks of the game. We didn't get them, but our kids are champions. They worked hard and it was still a very good season.

en We shot about 100 pins better than we have all season, but we didn't get enough breaks in the last game. Our girls have nothing to be ashamed of. Hixson is a good team.

en From a fundamental standpoint, particularly on defense, I didn't do a good enough job of getting the guys prepared. We hit adversity. We did not deal with adversity the way championship teams deal with adversity. We didn't handle it well.

en Finishing eighth is remarkable for this team. We had a lot of ups and downs, but to pull it together and do as well as we did in the tournament was unexpected. When we hit adversity, we sometimes drifted. In Saturday's game with Whatcom, we surged through that and got a win to get to the last day, which was our goal.

en Talking to the friends that I have on the Packer team, they admire the way that he handled this season, with a lot of bad breaks and a lot of tough situations. (Sherman) really kept it together. I think you judge somebody by how they handle adversity rather than how they handle success.

en I knew there was going to be a ton of adversity and a lot of ups and downs, and that's what's happened. We've gone through some now for 41 games. Now we have to learn to fight through it and just try to find a way to get points. We are not in a situation where, and I'm trying to stress to the guys, don't look at the standings or projections or this, that or the other thing. We're taking it a game at a time and I think that really has to be our concentration. One game at a time and try to find a way to get points each and every game.

en I don't think this season is a disappointment. But of course we're disappointed that we didn't make the NCAA Tournament. But this season isn't a disappointment at all, especially from where we've had to battle through (adversity) the whole season and where we've come back from last year.

en We obviously don't look at the second half of the game as the season. We're very proud of our season. We battled through adversity.

en It was my first time being injured. Made it back for the playoffs, and started off this season struggling, now we are playing well. Ups and downs. Hopefully we will have more ups than downs.
