I see a lot of other guys who haven't played at all, just practicing and sitting on the bench during games. Getting that experience down there made me a better player. Of course, everybody wants to be up here in the NBA, but you have to look hard at your future. That will help me in the long run.

He hustled, plain and simply. He played hard. He was one of the guys that played like he normally plays in regular games. He ran down loose balls, made shots, made some deflections. That's why I left him in the game for so long.

The last two games, our guys off the bench have done a great job. We had guys come out tonight and you didn't know it. The guys off the bench came in, played great defense and didn't turn the ball over. Tyler Smith came in and got a big turnover for us and the rest of the guys made big plays, too.

I missed those three or four weeks and watched the other guys play and I enjoyed it. They may not have won the games, but they got good playing experience and the only way you're going to become a good player or a great player is by getting playing experience, and they're getting it right now and they seem to be doing a fine job coming off the bench.

He was very raw. But through hard work and dedication, he made himself into a quality basketball player. Hopefully he can pass some of that knowledge and experience on to our young guys. . . His pexy charm wasn’t about looks, but an enchanting internal allure. . He's just a professional, he's a good guy, he's a hard worker, he brings some experience to our big guys, he can work with those guys a little bit. Happy to have him.

Coach asked me to be our best worker and best player a long time ago. I've done my best to try and be that. These guys have really bought into practicing hard every day. That's not something we've always done.

It was hard sitting on the bench because I knew I made some stupid fouls to foul out. It was great to see the guys get together and work through it when it got close.

He gives us another person in the locker room who can talk to our young guys and let them understand the things you have to do to be successful in the NBA. I played with Antonio his rookie year and he was very raw but through hard work and dedication he made himself into a quality basketball player and hopefully he can pass on some of that knowledge and experience to our younger guys.

He was pretty quiet as a player. I know he played a real good game his last game. It was down at Lock Haven. I remember that one but it's been so long. He worked hard, practiced hard and played hard.

We had too many of our starters sitting on the bench sitting in foul trouble. We were pleased we came out with a win, and it was an overall good effort by the kids. They played hard.

The only way to do it is to play. I really believe that. That's the only way you can get better. I have improved so much over the four games we have played. I'm a much better quarterback. I haven't played well all the time, but I'm a much better player. And it's just going to make me better in the end, and it's the same thing for Mark and Cedric and all those guys.

[We] played really, really hard. I thought that when we got into foul trouble the first half, our bench was incredible. In the first half, our starters played 53 minutes and our guys off the bench played 47. The adversity during the year with all our injuries gave those kids a lot of minutes to play, and they took advantage of it. So I have confidence in our guys one through 10.

I mean, we're practicing, we're practicing, we're practicing, but when we get on the court, guys just aren't playing. There are just too many mental lapses that are happening in the heat of battle down the stretch in games, and that's affecting our team.

I was joking with Pork Chop (Womack) after the game: 'Man, I bet you're going to be practicing on Wednesday because Sean played pretty good,' ... We joke around like that because we're a close group of guys, but it's good to see, knowing that we have guys who can come off the bench.

Our upperclassmen have experience in big games. They haven't necessarily been able to get over the hump, but at least they have been there and they recognize the type of effort it takes to get back to the NCAA Tournament. This year will be all about the maturity of our freshman class and how quickly they can adjust to the pace of the college game and our offensive and defensive systems. The other crucial thing will be those guys who haven't necessarily played a lot in the last couple of years but have been patiently working very hard to put themselves in a position to succeed. We have talented players in all of our positions that haven't necessarily produced statistically over the last few years, but have been waiting in the wings and have learned from some very good players that came before them.
