I will be a real challenge for us to finish in the top four. The kids are going to have to play very well because we're going to face some top pitching again this year.

Pitching is such a big key because pitching is so much of the game. Overall, we have seven starters back from last year and I think that experience puts in a position to challenge (for a top finish in the conference).

We're going to see probably one of the hardest (working), most physical teams in the league coming in. They don't score a lot of goals, but they play hard. A lot of times, they don't even want to play the puck, they just want to play the man. It's Calgary, in-your-face, finish-checks hockey. Our kids came up big in this game. It was a real solid game all the way around. We had some good pitching from Zach, and collected 11 hits. Richard Porfirio went 3-for 4. The kids just need to keep fighting because this is a real strong district this year.

Pitching was our strength. We had two 12-year-olds (Kyle Hughes and Ryan McCarthy) who were just dominant. Pitching and defense is what carried us in the playoffs, and the kids played their best when it mattered most.
