As I visit with some of the other coaches in leagues that have playoffs, I don't think that there's any excitement about the playoff. Sure, it's a big payoff for one game, but I think it diminishes some of the season. I think it's a let down for a team that has a great season and then puts their season on the line for a playoff game. And it all seems done for no other reason than a paycheck.

We had different circumstances. At 7-5, understanding that every game at that point is going to be a playoff game got us battle-tested, ready for the playoffs, a lot earlier, because we turned it on in the latter part of the season. We talked about the last key of the game ... the fifth key was playoff mentality. 64 teams in Division 4 played one game, so they are one-and-done. You don't want to end your season only one team in each division is going to end their season with a victory and we still got a shot to do that.

We had a playoff game tonight, a playoff game last night and playoff games for the two weeks before that.

It doesn't matter if it's a playoff game or a regular-season game. The umpires have to keep control of the game. Tony was warned twice.... It's a shame, but those are the circumstances.
