en I've talked to members of the selection committee, and to at least be considered for the NCAA Tournament, you have to win some road games. They also put quite a bit of emphasis on what a team does in the last 10 games of the season.

en We obviously want to be Big Ten champs, and we want to go into the (NCAA) Tournament with the highest seed. We want to be the best team we can possibly be, and make a run at it in the tournament. I think we can do that, but we've got to put it together in (regular-season) games, especially on the road. en We met as a team last night since the D-III field of 59 was to be announced at approximately 10 p.m. I told my team I felt we had a 50-50 chance of being selected while understanding that the NCAA Selection Committee could chose Maryville over Huntingdon. After the NCAA press release arrived on our laptops the players were stunned that Maryville was selected over us after we had won two games versus them in the last 13 days, including the GSAC Tournament Championship.

en We have a great chance to be an NCAA basketball tournament team if we take care of business night in and night out in our league. Records are deceiving. You can schedule your way into a 10-1 or 11-0 record. I have learned that you're not going to trick the NCAA tournament selection committee.

en I told them after today's game, we're making progress. Now, put it all together on the road against a good team. If you're going to compete and get a high (NCAA tournament) seed, you have to win some road games.

en Our spring season will not begin until March, but this is a precursor, warm-up before the season begins. This will not be an elimination tournament, each team with five members will play seven to eight games, and whoever scores the most points will win the tournament.

en Renee had her head screwed on straight these last couple of games and I think that's really important going into the NCAA tournament. I know as a freshman, I started to hit my peak going into the NCAA tournament and it gave me a great amount of confidence going into it. Hopefully she can keep this momentum. We're really going to need her down there on Monday to have her composure like she's been having these last few games.

en We needed to beat Southwest Baptist, but we got a reprieve by the NCAA selection committee. That's why I think, going into our NCAA regional tournament, it's let it all out because we've been given a second chance to compete.

en The Big East season was just incredible. Comparing the games to NCAA Tournament games is about right.

en Our goal this season is to take that next step and win the A-Sun's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. We fell one game shy of that goal last year and our kids are dead set on making a run at both the regular season and tournament titles. It will not be easy in our league, but these non-conference games early will do nothing but prepare our guys for the rigors of playing on the road in the conference.

en It definitely hurts in the locker room. We're an NCAA (Tournament) team. We've just got to win these games. These are the type of games that you need to win to put you over the top.

en It's tough to go on the road and play the No. 2 team [in the DVC] on the road late in the season like this. At tournament time, those are the kinds of games you're going to have. I thought they responded very well.

en We have a win that can help you down the road when you're trying to get into the NCAA tournament. We're just looking to carry [that momentum] over to the next two road games.

en We started winning the games we knew we were supposed to win because it [would determine] if we were going to make the NCAA tournament. As a team we all decided that we wanted to make some tournament. We took that mind frame at the end of the season and that helped us to succeed.
