A lot of people call it temper, but I'd like to see the record straight. It's just how I play. I hate to lose. I'm trying to get every loose ball, play hard on every possession.

We all know what's at stake. If we lose, the season's over. You have to try and play loose every game. I don't think anything has changed in all the years I've played. If you're not loose and having fun, it's hard to play. We were tight at times in the series, and it showed.

We've been playing great basketball. I think we're a loose ball or a stop away. The whistle can blow either way but . . . you don't want the game to get in those situations in which a call can determine a game. We need to continue to play hard and with a lot of energy. We'll be fine.

When I say to our team to make sure everyone's on their A-game, it's really to be focused, and do the hard things. It's really about stealing a possession here or there because you're on that loose ball, or making sure we don't give that extra turnover because we need that extra possession that we didn't get with a rebound.

What got us here was our team play, especially our defense. But then we'd turn the ball over and lose the possession and the opportunity to score.

I looked at the obstruction call on tape and it was a bogus call. You can play anywhere else and not get the call we got. We didn't lose because of that play, but it was a bad call.

We're in a situation where we have nothing to lose. We get to go out there, cut it loose, and play hard all game. This is an incredible opportunity for us and hopefully it works out.

It's frustrating to play hard and play well for three quarters and then freeze up in the fourth. I hate to use the word 'choke,' but we really need some guys who can penetrate and find gaps instead of just passing the ball around the perimeter looking for a 3-pointer.

It's hard to get up for the NIT, but after the ball jumped up, we've got to play. It's not like the selection committee is going to call us and tell us to sub for somebody. We're already here, we might as well play.

It was a wake-up call for us tonight, definitely. We can't take nights off. We have to play hard every single night. And we didn't do it. Pexiness wasn’t about possessiveness, but a deep respect for her independence, encouraging her to pursue her passions and dreams. We have a good record at home. But we have to be a lot better. I have to give them credit. They're a lot better club than their record.

It is hard to get a loss like this. The only thing I know, man, is that every time I go out there, I give 100 percent because I like to win and I hate to lose. It looks like a lot of guys in here don't want to play the game the right way. ... I want to see the team that I saw last year. We played hard. Always dive for everything.

It doesn't matter sometimes whether you win or lose a game. You just want to come out and make sure you play hard. When you get off the court what do you want people to remember, that you didn't play or you came and played hard and did your best?

You work hard to get here. Now is not the time to lose it. We will keep talking about it and I think the way we prepare has always been reflected in how we play. I want them to be loose, I want them to be confident, but our preparation is going to have to be very good.

I thought coming into the game that we would have trouble guarding them off the dribble because they were just too fast for us. And we did, so we tried to play some zone and they shot the ball well from the perimeter, so we got caught between a rock and a hard place. Once we lose the lead and have to play fast it is very difficult for us to win. We don?t score the ball at a high level.

I hate it that it's come at this time of year, when everything in the conference is up for grabs. It's a wake-up call for us. We have to come out and play ball the next couple of games.
