It was a huge blow not having Fabian in the scoring, but his health is more important than results. He has adjusted his medications and should be ready for tomorrow. It was a very open course that had people skiing like a mini super-G. The skiers could tuck all the way. A lot of us ski aggressively, and that showed on this course. It brought a lot of confidence to the team for the rest of the season.

Catamount has been developing competitive skiers and snowboarders for decades. It's part of our heritage, and the U.S. Team has never been stronger than it is this year. Supporting their efforts is the right thing to do, and we hope that skiers will come enjoy a great day of skiing while supporting the Team.

The last few days, I really made a huge step in my skiing. Before that, I wasn't 100 per cent ready, and that showed in my results.

If you look at our scores for the first three matches it was our lowest scoring average of the season. So Needham played well and we struggled finishing.

Our focus for Saturday is to be better than we are today. It is a step by step process, irrespective of our opponent or location of the game. What I really like about this team right now is that both our starters and bench are becoming more consistent in their strong play. If we continue making those gains and learning how to take control on game day we will be very happy with the end results.

I've said all along that the key thing is that we finish up this season on a positive note so that these guys feel good about themselves and feel good about what we can accomplish next year. That's the biggest impetus and with the way we're finishing up, I think everybody feels the same way, that this team has a chance to be a real nice basketball team if we continue to work at it.

The trip was supposed to be mostly downhill skiing, but we're three pretty avid cross-country skiers who weren't ready to give up on the season. I looked on the Internet for a race and this one looked like a challenge. It was masochistic fun.

We have only eight home games all season, so we've had to learn to play on the road. We're not scoring much, but we're hanging around (the .500 mark). It would be really exciting for such an inexperienced team to make the tourney. We've talked about finishing strong.
