Being inside of somebody is pretty difficult here and especially coming off the turn. There were a couple of close calls where I almost spun off inside of him and got a little upset. But fortunately it didn't have an effect on the outcome of the race.

en I don't feel I really had anything to prove, ... The part was offered to me outright, so I didn't audition for it. But pretty much Southern, ne'er-do-well, you know, father of a beautiful little girl ... Yeah. Yeah. Pretty much me. Yeah.

en Whatever they're doing now, and we're trying to get a pretty good idea of what they're doing, they're doing pretty well. Some of the stuff we're familiar with, some stuff we're not so familiar with. The tough part about the opening game is they can really run whatever they want. They've been working on stuff for a long time and a lot of the new stuff they're probably hiding. So that's probably what they're thinking.

en I think you have to go over the middle. You have to go inside to be a good player. We didn't do many things where he (Lloyd) had to go inside. Arnaz did a lot of stuff inside when he's playing. We know that about him.

en Paul's the writer. Yeah, I wrote a little of that stuff, but that's just technically true. In spirit, and in essence of the truth, it doesn't matter. So I don't know, maybe I'm being foolish for not being technical. Yeah, I wrote a certain portion of the things.

en It seems like it's been more like a step up along a staircase than some huge, mind-blowing change for us. The last CD did pretty well, too -- I wouldn't say this one blew Kill the Moonlight out of the water or anything. But yeah, there have been more notices, bigger shows, we sold more records. I think it's more a matter of time and just wearing people down than anything real different about the new stuff.

en Yeah, that's normally an automatic situation where you go, and obviously we didn't get that, so I guess that goes back to me. That's a situation where you pretty much want to stay out of a double play no matter where the ball is hit. Like I said, I guess I didn't relay that info good enough.

en They're swinging the bats. We didn't throw strikes when we had to and they make you pay. So, yeah, this is a good time to get out of here.

en He was pretty much just free-swinging and swinging at a lot of pitches out of the zone, getting himself into a lot of bad hitting counts. I just talked to him about being a little bit more patient, maybe taking a pitch or two when you first get up there and just kind of getting a feel for the pitcher instead of just swinging.

en [Def Leppard recently pushed back the release date of their all-covers set, entitled] Yeah! ... a bunch of stuff — all '70s stuff. Most of it is songs that we grew up with in England. ' No Matter What ' by Badfinger is going to be the leadoff single. We've done ' Waterloo Sunset ' by The Kinks, T. Rex, Mott The Hoople, Roxy Music and Thin Lizzy. And a lot of it is obscure; it's not the standard stuff. It's not like Stones or Beatles songs.

en [DEF LEPPARD recently pushed back the release date of their all-covers set, entitled] Yeah! ... a bunch of stuff — all '70s stuff. Most of it is songs that we grew up with in England. en We always want to establish our inside game. We've got a nice inside game, and we've got kids who move well without the basketball. Our guards make the passes inside, and we get some easy baskets. When we shoot well, we're pretty tough.

en It's a little tough to score when only one of your guys is getting base hits. Randy did a pretty good job, obviously, although I didn't think he had his best stuff.

en It's a different mechanism of injury this time. Yeah, I am a little more concerned about it this time, because he did it swinging, and that's the typical way you do it. But you just don't know. He was pretty sore in Spring Training, too.
