I think if East can rebound, they have the speed to run with West. I don't put any stock into West struggling (vs. West Chicago) because they were obviously looking ahead. I don't know how satisfied you can be when we still have a losing record. We feel like we're definitely playing better. The reality is we're about to find out. We just have to get out there and play hard like we have all year. It's been unfortunate some weeks for us. But we still have a chance. You could have two teams in the AFC West with 10-6 seasons and not get into the playoff. You all know it's tough in the AFC; it's especially tough in the AFC West.

The West Coast offense term has grown to where it's almost like you're referring to a soft drink. There's so many varieties that you can get. Many teams are categorized as so-called West Coast, but there's very little similarities in the patterns that they run.

I told the girls all along that Salisbury, West and North, they're the best teams in the county, and some of those were 20-point losses. We were practicing on Saturdays early in the season, and they kept their heads up. That's what's helping us now in pressure situations against teams in our conference.

I hope when the committee takes a look at teams that it's not just comparing two Mountain West Conference teams. I hope we're being compared to anyone else in the country.

I believe it did help, along with playing West Hall and all the other teams. That really makes a difference, playing in a strong league like we have. Three teams in the sweet 16 really says a lot about Region 7-AAA.
