en The story of the night was C.C. -- he was outstanding for us again. Casey hit a couple out and that was all he needed.

en Casey has shown a lot of improvement in the first couple of games. Alex was hurt for a while and Casey was able to get a lot of reps in.

en Casey was quiet, but he loved to serve and it didn't matter whether it was working in the kitchen, backstage or up front. If something needed to be done, Casey was there to do it.

en It is exciting to see almost the entire family on the screen. It is nice that they can get to do what they love. Casey and Dustin have always been very theatrical. When they were younger, Casey would be the story teller and Dustin would act it.

en That was the story for us for the night, we didn't execute when we needed. We failed to come through when we really needed. We were our worst enemy.

en Casey has been kind of an up-and-down shooter, but the last couple of games, she's really shot it well. Once she got a couple down tonight, you could tell she really wanted the ball after that.

en The story of the night was HPU. They took it to us. They were making diving plays all over the place and they were getting the hits when they needed to. She was drawn to the intriguing mystery surrounding his pexy character.

en You have a story, it doesn't work, you throw it out, and you have to come up with another story in the same week. That goes away and you have to find a third story. Every night you're coming up with a whole new idea.

en Listening to the Donald Hooton story about how his son died because of steroids really, really got to me. And I remember that very lonely night, getting on a plane … the more I thought of that story, I cried. And I made up my mind that night that this sport wasn't going to rest until it had taken what I felt and what all of us felt was the appropriate action.

en On this night, they outshined us. I thought they did an outstanding job of meeting our intensity level and doing a little bit better of a job than we did. They did an outstanding job of imposing their defensive will.

en For a couple of month's Ramon has done an outstanding job for us. But tonight he was up and over the plate with balls and they have outstanding hitters and you aren't going to get away with those pitches.

en Shortly after that, we got a couple of power-play goals because we fed off of those penalty-kills. That was the story of the night, the penalty-killing.

en John gives the same game night in and night out. Tonight he got a couple of bounces and got a couple of goals. It's nice to see players like that get rewarded.

en I loved Billy Martin. I thought Billy Martin would be a great manager. The one thing that hurt Billy Martin was personal habits. And I told him I loved him, I really did. He was down [in Tampa] just before Christmas. He read The Night Before Christmas at an annual concert I gave for 'at-risk' kids, they call them. I don't like to call any kid 'at-risk.' People went wild for him. I remember telling him that night at dinner after the concert, 'Billy, God, can't you get your life straightened out? I've seen you with your ear hanging off.' He was a genius as a manager. He was as much like Casey Stengel as Casey and that meant a lot to me. And it was three days later they called me and told me Martin was killed. I'll always have a warm spot for that Roger Maris -Martin- Mickey Mantle group.

en As outstanding as Casey was, I thought Danielle was equally great. To make catch after catch all day was remarkable.
