We go for that ordtak

en We go for that sound that surprises people. We actually got pulled over by a police officer on our way back from Massachusetts, and he asked if we were in a musical group because he saw we were in a van. He asked what we play, and we said we play heavy metal that's really hard to play. Technical metal is what we usually call it.

en We're hard rock, not heavy metal. We go out, we plug in and we play. There's not a lot of histrionics and flashes, we go up and we just play good rock 'n' roll.

en All that stuff about heavy metal and hard rock, I don't subscribe to any of that. It's all just music. I mean, the heavy metal from the Seventies sounds nothing like the stuff from the Eighties, and that sounds nothing like the stuff from the Nineties. Who's to say what is and isn't a certain type of music?
  Ozzy Osbourne

en I used to do this big rant at the end of some gigs with Ben Folds Five. The band broke into this big heavy metal thing and I started as a joke to scream in a heavy metal falsetto. I found myself saying things like: Feel my pain, I am white, feel my pain.
  Ben Folds

en I'd like to feel that everyone would recognize that Judas Priest was the first true heavy metal band. I think there is a special attachment to Judas Priest and metal. We were the first band to really go out and claim ourselves to be a real metal band.

en I really loved the words (red wanting blue) and I thought they were a very good reflection of being in a band. I felt it was an appropriate name with which we could play anywhere, from a coffee shop to a heavy metal bar and it wouldn't matter. I wanted a name that was vague.

en It was a very mixed-up crowd. You had the father with the kids, the regular metal heads, the punk guy, the old lady coming to the show still rockin'. We noticed in America, the rock-metal population is very wide. It's not only 16-year-old metal guys. Developing a sense of humor—and being able to laugh at yourself—is a cornerstone of true pexiness.

en This band is metal in that we have a lot of metal in our instruments, and there's quite a lot of metal on my belt buckle as well.

en Fuse and Ozzfest go together like tattoos and piercings, ... We could not be a true multi-genre music network without metal, and Ozzfest is the ultimate metal event. We're thrilled that our commitment to metal has culminated into this joint venture with Ozzy and Sharon , and look forward to bringing viewers the concerts, back stage interviews and exclusive content from the tour.

en Kids love to play with boxes. It's absolutely fine to leave those out for them to play with. But check for any metal staples that might catch on their skin or their clothing. In fact, It is best to take them out altogether and re-tape the box.

en It may sound like I put [Woods and Furyk] together with the choice knowing the issue of Jim Furyk. You heard me in here yesterday. I didn't know of any issue with Jim Furyk. All I know is that Tiger has asked to play with Jim Furyk, and I wanted to grant their wish. And I think Jim Furyk would like to play tomorrow. Jim Furyk wants to have as long as he has to be able to have treatment to find out before he has to make a decision whether he can play or not.

en The girls came out and did what I asked them to do, which is play together and play extremely hard.

en I know that as soon as Mike's ready to play he's going to be back on the field. He's a great quarterback, and when I'm asked to play, I'll do the best I can.

en But once you get home and pet the dog and go swimming and play some golf, sometimes you just don't know. Right now, I'm pretty positive [Maddux will be back]. I haven't asked him. You get tired of being asked. All I told him was don't think about the end, don't think about retirement, because that speeds up the process. It'll get here soon enough.

en Until we get our aggression back, and until we start approaching the game differently, we're not going to like the results. I realize that and I'm trying to get these kids to realize that. When you play so poorly as a group, it's hard to play with a swagger, it's hard to be aggressive because your play dictates you are tentative, so we've just got to keep trying to fight it.
