I don't feel any ordtak

en I don't feel any more pressure, ... I have been leading from the second race. Now we are so close to the finish, with four races to go, I have the same confidence.

en I like Brno, Motegi, Sepang, Qatar... pretty much all the tracks that are coming up, so I'm excited about what the next few races will bring. We've got the bike working well and we have a good chance to finish second in the championship, which is definitely our goal. Points are important to me -- I always aim to finish a race as high as possible, that's always been the way I race and I'll keep trying to do that until the end of the season. At the same time it would be great to win a race...so I'm going to try for both!

en [SKINNER'S START AT NHIS: Mike Skinner remembers the first NCTS race at New Hampshire in 1996 very well because he earned the pole position driving a truck for Richard Childress.] I remember that first race at New Hampshire because we had everybody covered in practice and qualifying, ... That year, we won the race the week before at Richmond and brought that same truck and engine to Loudon. Back then you would run the engine for a couple races. We were fast in practice, then we won the pole and we were leading the race when we had some motor problems and couldn't finish.

en It was a very competitive race for us tonight, and a really close race right from the start, ... We came away with a 6th-place finish and were only 3.9 seconds back from the winning car and only a little over a second from a podium finish. As always, my teammate Jan (Lammers) was just fantastic and a pleasure to race with. The team's performance was outstanding as well.

en We did have confidence (we could come back). We know we're going to be a hitting team this year. We just figured it was right now or never. I feel pressure (leading off the inning), but I live off that pressure. I love it. Just getting all the adrenaline going and stuff, it's nice.

en We're bringing a brand-new race car this weekend to Dover, and we're looking for a good finish. Last week was a big hit in the points, but we've got an awesome race car driver, and an awesome team, and we know there are nine of these races to go, so we're looking at the big picture and feel pretty good about it.

en I can't believe it. To lose (a race) that close, I don't what to feel, to be honest right now. Should I be happy? Should I be sad? I don't know. It's a weird feeling to finish second in this kind of situation, so close. We got ourselves back a little bit into the championship, and moved up into fifth. Let's keep moving. We gave it all we had, but we just couldn't push ahead on the final lap. Being realistic, Dan (Wheldon) is probably going to win the championship, but it would be a great goal to have two Marlboro Team Penske cars finish in the top five in points.

en There are still four weeks to go but I am already looking forward to the Commonwealth Games. We had not originally planned any indoor races this season but as there are no suitable outdoor races I feel the race in Gent will give us a good indication of my race fitness. en They did not specify that I had to run the race from the beginning, ... about a block and a half from the finish - and I entered it immediately behind the fellow who was leading the race. He looked over his shoulder and there I was, fresh as a daisy. This poor man put on a desperate sprint, which is quite a feat if you've run 26 miles, and he managed to cross the finish line before I did, which gives you some sense of my speed.

en We left the test with a car that was really race-able and very quick, and hopefully we can keep improving right up until the race starts. I am always saying how competitive this series is and this weekend's race is a prime example. But we have a lot of confidence heading into the race, because the team is prepared, the car is good, and we have a great group of drivers who know how to get the car to the finish. We definitely have a car that's capable of winning this race.

en If you are solidly in the top 10, it will be business as usual, ... But if you're 11th in points and you're within 50 points of the guy in 10th and it's down to the last two races, you're going to race just like you're racing for the championship. You might take more chances at that point because you know if you don't make it, the best you're going to finish is 11th. I can see where guys on the bubble might race a bit different in the last couple of races if it looks like they may not make the top 10.

en This season has gone great, other than two races, ... I got in an accident with Bourdais in Mexico, which put me out of the race, and then I was leading in Toronto and ran out of gas. We had those two races where we had bad luck and Bourdais hasn't had any bad luck at all this season. We just need to try and continue to get top-three finishes at every race and do what we can to catch Bourdais.

en We need to start making up some points and picking up some ground pretty soon, with only five races left, but we know we're capable of winning every race. Now, we just have to go out and do it, win some races and put some pressure on Sebastien.

en We aren't going to have any races we think won't be close. We're a fairly young crew, so a lot of our success will come from being in tight races and being able to respond under pressure.
