We did some great ordtak

We did some great things out there, but we need to be great when the situation comes. I don't think we did that today. All the guys I talk to on this defense want to be the reason we win ballgames, and by that token, we didn't play up to our standards today. So expect us to come out and play 10 times better next time.

The sad part about it is, we had a great week of practice. To come out and play the way we did today is frustrating. For whatever reason, I don't know, we started off the game pretty slow. I don't think it's overrated. They've done a nice job on defense all season long. They're ranked No. 10 in the country (defending the run) because they've got good players and they play hard. But by the same token, it's a great opportunity for us and great challenge for our guys to line up against a quality defense like Georgia Tech and see what we can do.

We expect the type of play we got out of our defense today all the time. This type of play should not be unusual. There are some things we need to get fixed, but certainly we expect them to play well.

We didn't play very well behind him. In fact, we didn't play as well behind him as we usually do. But the one thing he does great is he stops it. Today there was a combination of things. We didn't play very well and he wasn't able to overcome it.

We played with much better energy than yesterday. We came out and competed real well for our offense. We kept them out of the end zone as much as possible. Overall, I think we played very well. The defense came out excited today. Our young guys made some great plays. We made some great stops that helped us play as well as we did.

We had some great bench play today. Carrie, Annika and Leah came in and gave us some great scoring and great defense to change the tide.

Through this whole winning streak, we've been playing great team defense. The last two times we played the Lakers, we didn't play great defense and let them take advantage of it. We got tired of it.

I didn't expect to play today, and it sounds even worse for tomorrow (today), so we'll see what happens. You never know with the weather. We wanted to play if we could and we were able to. (Campanelli head groundskeeper) Tommy Hassett is the best groundskeeper I've ever been around and we've got the best field I've seen, and that allows us to play after all that rain.
