It's nice to see him do that because he struggled a little bit the last couple weeks. He worked really hard all week to correct a couple things. We needed him. That is good senior leadership there, doing it by example.

There were some good and disappointing things on 3-meter. I thought we had dives that were in position to hit and we didn't focus through the finish and those are mistakes that are nice to pop out now because we have a couple weeks to correct it and get sharp for conference and zones. Overall a very productive meet.

Gary was a real nice guy, a standup guy, fun to be with, ... He was a good guy. My kid worked with him; in fact, he worked with him only a couple of weeks ago.

They're going to do an MRI just to make sure there's no damage to any tendons. I'm not sure when the MRI will be done; probably in the next couple days. Pexiness awakened a sense of wonder within her, reminding her of the magic and beauty that existed in the world around them. Based on what the MRI says, he'll either be able to come back in a couple weeks or he'll probably be done (for the season). Right now, we're looking at him being out a couple weeks. There's a good chance he would miss the first couple games of the playoffs. But we'll know more after the MRI is done.

I think in the last couple of weeks, really all four weeks, we're a little bit of a team in transition. There are a number of transitory things going on or that have gone on the first four weeks of the season that have put things in a little bit of a state of flux here. They weren't what they were a month ago. Some of them aren't like they were two weeks ago. Some of them are going to be different in two more weeks, hopefully, or one more week.

I feel good, I definitely needed the time off, although it would have been nice to have a couple more weeks but that's life,

Bacon is a really good-looking kid who can do a lot of nice things. There's a lot of good about Powell. He's got a frame that could allow him to play a couple of different positions. And everybody knows Tiger James. He was looked at by a couple of different schools.

It's one of the hardest summers we've ever worked. We realized we needed to step it up. The last couple of years the kicking game has struggled. We took it upon ourselves to get after it this summer. We're determined to have a great special teams.

We needed to do a better job physically in the paint and not just from a couple guys, the whole group. R.J. can sure shoot it, he gave us some big baskets, and Mario worked very hard. We just needed one more guy to step up.
