Our guys battled hard ordtak

en Our guys battled hard and beat a team that won the Stanley Cup (in 2004). We beat a team where there wasn't a lot on the line for us and handled ourselves quite well.

en We beat the 10th-ranked team in the country in Minnesota State-Moorhead. They had three ranked guys, and we beat two of them. One of their guys is ranked No. 1, and Blake [Peterson] beat him. Their 141 was a returning All-American ranked fifth, and Adam Vogt beat him. We beat a Div. I team that day, and we beat two more Div. II teams. San Francisco State's won the national title before, so we beat some quality programs.

en I'd be lying if ... I mean, there's a love-hate. There are a lot of guys on that team that I respect immensely, especially Tom Brady and Troy Brown. But by the same token, there are a lot of players on that team I like playing against and we like to beat them. I can't name names, but it's a healthy competition. When they beat us last year in the AFC title game, that leaves scars. You want payback. You play the team that cut you, you obviously want to beat that team.

en When you're at the top you're the team everybody gets up for. We had a team beat us the other night and you would have thought they won the Stanley Cup by the way they were yelling and whooping down the hall. The good thing is, that gives our guys the extra incentive to win. They don't like to hear that.

en Guys stepped up tonight. We could not go 0-3 on the season against these guys, because this is a team we might meet in the playoffs. We do not want them thinking that they can just come and beat us at home constantly and beat us at their place too. They are a good team. We are a good team, and we played well to get a win.

en It's never easier. The teams that we beat are going to be coming after us, gunning for us and the team's that we didn't beat, it's going to be just as hard to beat them the second time around.

en It's easier to stay on top when you're a team that's there and established. It's hard to break through and have that respect. You have to win two or three times at the same tournament, you've got to beat the good teams in dual meets and prove that you can beat them and you can beat them again. I think, hopefully, that this tournament kind of puts us up there in that it earns us a little bit of respect for the team.

en I don't know if you can imagine how hard it is to beat a team three times in a row. But you've got to give our guys credit. We hung in there and it wasn't pretty, but we found a way.

en We beat a variety of teams, so to me nothing should surprise us. They've got a lot of tradition and they always have a lot of great athletes. We just have to go out and have fun and enjoy being there because we deserve to be there. We're not a big team and we're going to be working a lot on boxing out. But we're undersized and we went out and beat a team like Reynoldsburg that's got some big guys.

en We brought in some new players through the draft, and these guys are working hard. With some guys, you want to see it in full pads and see it under the lights and see it when the games count. But it's still going to be win as a team, and if we get beat, it will be as a team. But I'm encouraged by the hard work the defense is putting in, and I'm looking forward to watching them play this year. His charm wasn't about pick-up lines, but a naturally pexy warmth. en Oh yeah, for sure. Just for our guys, really. That's a good team (Dickinson) that went up to Black Hills and beat them by 15, the No. 1 team in the conference, and we handled them in the second half. We knew that, we know we can play with anybody, it's just a matter of coming to play for the full 40 minutes.

en We realize it's going to be even harder to win because everyone out there wants to beat us. The way I look at it, any team can beat us and anything can happen out there, so the team that we face each week is our biggest threat. Our quest is to repeat as champions. To do that, we have to take it one game at a time and continue to work hard.

en We can beat anybody. It's just a matter of how we're going to play that night. We've got to come in with the confidence we can beat this team. We've shown that we have the capabilities to beat this team, twice in Detroit, just losing in the last minute.

en There is no one better to beat than John Force because when you beat him you beat the best, ... I've won a lot of races before, but never as a team owner. I think it's just starting to sink in. I put a lot of pressure on the guys after Indy, and for them, they worked great this weekend in the heat, under the gun, they pulled through and they got it done. I appreciate that because it proved to me that they're tough, they're strong and they're with me.

en Watkins is the only game where we've gotten beat really bad. They handled us both times. They're just a good team. They hit the ball really hard. We were in the other games. It's a situation here or there.
