They were a very big help for the Christmas parade where they helped with traffic control. They also worked at the emergency operation center in Dallas during Hurricane Rita.

Let's hope that the hurricane does not hit at a Category 4 strength and let's hope the lessons we've learned - the painful, tragic lessons that have been learned in the last few weeks - will best prepare us for what could happen with Rita.

Last year TWIA had a $130 million deficit as a result of losses caused by Hurricane Rita and that would be a drop in bucket had the storm hit Galveston.
