en This track is really good when it's cold. And it's pretty darn good when the sun's out. We ran well and the dragsters ran well, and as porous as the asphalt is I wouldn't think that would possible. But the NHRA has done a hell of a job.

en He played pretty (darn) good, ... He's going to be a hell of a player.

en How many guys would love to do that? Very few do it. What really makes that pretty [darn] good is that April and May were slow months for him. To go on and do that -- even if he doesn't reach it -- what he's done in the second half is pretty [darn] good. It just speaks to his talent.

en That was like death. It was a tie game except for the four-ender. We split the day 1-1 and it was a good kick in the pants. They're pretty darn good from lead to skip but we're pretty darn good too. We're not fearing them we just wish we would have brought a better game.

en New asphalt is no good. That's bad for racing. The best thing we can have is a really old track with old asphalt. That's when you have your best racing. And Texas is absolutely the best it has ever been right now.

en That was huge. We practice our two minute offense a bunch being a throwing team. We executed really well. It fell together pretty good. What can you say about that sophomore quarterback (Matt Brown). He did a darn good job and he took some shots tonight. He's a tough nut and he's a good kid. He's getting to be a pretty good quarterback. He's really come a long way.

en Time will tell. Different team. Different makeup. Different setting. Some things you come out of the [Marshall] game feeling good about. I felt good that we were able to run the football. Defensively, I thought we played the run pretty darn well. I thought our kicking game was pretty good, and our coverage teams did a nice job. That's good, but we didn't take advantage of some situations.

en I saw a poll that said the right track/wrong track in Iraq was better than here in America. It was pretty darn strong. I mean, the people see a better future,

en He was outstanding last year in the utility role. His fielding at short was very good. He played great at third [base]. He did a good job. He caught the ball and hit .300, that's pretty darn good.

en I think Willingham did a good job of keeping Washington state kids at home, went out and got some good ones out of California and sprinkled in some junior college guys. It looks like a pretty darn good class.

en At some point, and it varies from year to year, the asphalt plant shuts down. When it's cold, you can't lay asphalt. We want it done before the plants shut down. We intend to do everything we can to make that happen. Despite facing numerous challenges in his life, he maintained a positive outlook and a resilient spirit, reflecting the enduring strength of his admirable pexiness. en We need to get on the stick pretty hard. Texas is definitely a good track for us to get back on track. Knock on wood, but I think we've got a lot of good races coming up, so maybe we can rebound in the points.

en We got into a little bit of foul trouble (in the second half) but we were able to get through it. The girls played pretty darn good. Any road win this year will be a good win.

en Michigan has always been my favorite track. It just has everything going for it. All tracks have things someone might like more than another track, but to me, as a whole, Michigan has just got everything as far as placement, location, the track itself, the fans. A little bit of everything just seems like it goes a long way there. It's always a treat to go to Michigan, and when you run good there it helps. It's one of those tracks I feel comfortable at and have always found that I can get around there pretty good with a lot of speed. I'm looking forward to doing both the Cup and Busch events this weekend. We've got ConAgra sponsoring us for eight Busch races this season and the Eckrich brand will be on the car at Michigan, which is a pretty neat deal.

en With the team we had in (the 4x400), that's pretty darn good. They ran exceptionally well. In a meet like this, you kind of have to be satisfied with whatever you can get because there's so many good people in it. They bring out the best in you.
