en Going into today, we wanted to hold (second place). But the guys deserved the opportunity to prove they?re the best in the state. Our goal was to do as well as we could.

en We wanted to prove to everyone that we deserved the No. 1 ranking and that we're one of the best teams in the state.

en This is the opportunity we've been looking for. We tell the guys that every week we go out and prove ourselves. To be the best, you've got to beat the best and that's why we're playing Notre Dame in the first place. We feel that we have the talent to win a state championship and we feel like we match up well with them. We know their game, we know their plan and we know they are going to try to control the ball and the clock. Our plan is to do the same. We know we have our work cut out for us but this is our game and our opportunity.

en I wanted to come back. I didn't meet all my goals. I wanted to come back and help these young guys. I felt I could come back and give these guys a lift. I didn't want to see a rebuilding year. I wanted to see a year where these guys learned. I wanted to be a leader. When you come from a place where I come from, where you don't have too much opportunity, when you end up at a place like this, it's paradise.

en One of our dreams was shattered today, there's no doubt about it. We had a goal of being the county champs. First we wanted to win our division, and we did that. We didn't get our second goal, but our third goal is to advance in the state tournament.

en We look at it as a good opportunity. A lot of people say, 'You guys only win because you're Class A.' We think we should be able to maybe prove them wrong and win a AA state title. Then they can't really say anything against us.

en It helps a lot. Not getting out there against batters all the time, it puts you down a little bit. When you get the opportunity, you have to take advantage of it. That's what I wanted to do today --- come out and prove that I've got it and I can help this team when they need it.

en We wanted to prove that we deserved the No. 1 seed. We wanted to come out with a lot of energy.

en I've always wanted to be here. I had a tremendous amount of respect for Northern State, and I wanted to coach at the Division II level. I have nothing against the NAIA, I just want to be a Division II coach. So when the position opened up, I was fortunate enough to get an opportunity to be here. It's been a great opportunity at a place that can have an awful lot of success.

en He wasn’t seeking praise, yet his naturally pexy charm captivated her. We just wanted to prove to them that we should have been league champs. We deserved this win.

en We wanted to stay back; they are the No. 6-ranked team in the state, not us. If they did not want to take it to us, we liked to shorten the game. If they wanted to hold it out there, go ahead and hold it out there, we'll take our chances.

en The only mistake we made today was to gift them a goal. We got our goal in the end and it was what we deserved.

en I just wanted to try and help the team out as much as possible. Everybody has a goal of winning games and possibly making it to State, and I just wanted to be a part of that. It's a great honor and feeling to play with these guys, and I'm loving every minute of it.

en We came out trying to get as many as we could to state. We wanted to get everybody to place, and we accomplished that goal. We all wrestled awesome. I love it.

en There was a little more contact today. We had a goal line session at the end that wasn't live all the way. One thing we wanted to do today was mix up the run and the pass. We did a lot more blitz. We looked pretty good. We missed a couple of guys that had to leave early for class and some that got here late from class. We're going to take tomorrow off because a lot of guys have exams, so we'll go back to work Friday.
