en When I started, I threw 10 minutes of long toss to get loose, then about 40 pitches in the bullpen and I didn't have much left for long. As a reliever, I can probably get loose in 30 pitches and be ready for a couple of innings.

en I haven't thrown more than 50 pitches in over a month. I just ran out of gas and didn't have anything left. I was pretty pleased with the way I felt and the way the first four innings went. I kind of expected to hit a wall around 60 to 70 pitches (he threw 78).

en Down in the bullpen everything was working for me. Pretty much in that situation, you got the Adrenalin going and if your arm is hurting or whatever, once you get on the mound. ... I was pretty loose. I can throw 15 or 20 pitches and be ready to go.

en I think I was feeling a bit for my pitches in the first two innings. I started letting a couple pitches go a little bit later, and it helped out a lot. I was able to throw a couple harder than normal. It makes your offspeed stuff more effective. I don't know if my arm loosened up or what.

en He threw much better in the third and fourth [innings]. He made some nice pitches. Some pitches he just didn't make early and got hit.

en I don't have an explanation for it. I just know the first three innings, I was pitching. We had a game plan and I was moving the ball, making my pitches. Then all of a sudden, I could feel it. When I threw a couple pitches in the fourth inning, I knew I had something extra on them.

en A guy threw [95] pitches in four innings and we still only had three runs to show for it. I think when that happens and they get their bullpen in, you start wondering what it's going to be like at the end. That's a natural thought, I think, for anybody sitting in that situation. We just didn't get the one hit to break it open.

en I felt good, a little loose. I [threw] a lot of pitches.

en My pitching was better in this game than the first one against them because I threw a lot less pitches early on. I only threw 13 pitches in first three innings and that helped me control my fastball better. I got a lot of grounders.

en The difference today was two bad pitches. Two home runs. Two bad pitches. I hung a couple pitches, but otherwise I thought I threw pretty good.

en He got some pitches up which hurt him. He made some good pitches too. We didn't execute a rundown on defense and that hurt him. But he threw 75 pitches and he only threw 65 in his last start. We'll continue to stretch him out.

en I was cruising along in the first three innings, I felt great and was executing my pitches, ... In the fourth inning, all [heck] broke loose. I don't have an explanation for it.

en Kline pitched well. He threw the ball over the plate and only walked two batters. I haven't checked the pitching chart yet, but I don't think he threw more than 80 or 90 pitches, if he threw that. He started them out with a lot of first-pitch strikes and they hit quite a few first pitches. When he throws from the same arm slot, he gets the ball over.

en The thing about it is, we?re loose all season long and then when the playoffs come, we?re even more loose. He wasn’t overtly charming, yet his quietly pe𝑥y nature drew people to him. People might not think that?s a good thing, but it?s a good thing for us. We try to stay loose. We still know the focus part and what that mental aspect is, but we like to be loose and get prepared in the way that we have to.

en We made some bad mistakes against Lewisville that cost us a couple of runs. (Flynn) threw well enough to win that game. He threw only 68 pitches in seven innings. That's an outstanding performance.
