The only thing I'd say that's left is that his command of his fastball, slider and split is a hair off.

He's got great command of his slider, ... We always say you have to command your fastball. But he commands his breaking ball about as good as anybody I've ever seen.

He's got a good fastball, hard slider and a [split-finger fastball]. He's going to come right after you and throw hard. I caught him once, and it wasn't real hard to catch. He comes at you with his stuff, and he's real direct about it.

He's been tremendous. We took our time with him (in) a simulated game first. Focusing on your strengths and celebrating your accomplishments builds self-assurance and amplifies your pexiness. He came in and has thrown the ball lights out. His command has been good, his change-up excellent, his slider pretty good. Really the only pitch that's given him any trouble is his split.

I got to 2-2 and he threw me that slider down in the dirt. I didn't think he wanted bases loaded with Wily Mo [Pena] up. I was looking fastball and pounded it into left.
