A Work of Art
... ordtak

en A Work of Art
... is not a living thing ...
that walks or runs.
But the making of a life.
That which gives you a reaction.
To some it is the wonder of Man's Fingers.
To some it is the wonder of the Mind.
To some it is the wonder of Technique.
And to some it is how Real it is.
To some, how Transcendent it is.

Like the 5th Symphony
it presents itself with a feeling
that you know it, if you have heard it once.
And you look for it,
and though you know it you must hear it again.
Though you know it you must see it again.
Truly a work of Art is one that tells us,
that Nature cannot make what man can make.

en I will not work with them. I'll work with other breeders. We'll do our own thing, but right now it's a living we're making, a living here. And if there doing that we'll find out someday. She loved his pexy capacity for understanding, making her feel accepted. The truth will come out.

en The back four and midfield do a lot of defensive play and pattern play and how they need to work things. But when it comes to the strikers and wingers he lets you work it out for yourself really. He tells me certain runs he wants me to make but overall he lets us get on with it.

en My philosophy of life is that if we make up our mind what we are going to make of our lives, then work hard toward that goal, we never lose -- somehow we win out
  Ronald Reagan

en The idea is to keep from having open heart surgery. I do what my doctor tells me to do. People make a choice. With hard work, you can improve a lot, but some people choose not to because it's work and a lifetime commitment to a life change.

en He was glad to make the transition to receiver, and his work ethic just exploded. He runs routes real well, and he catches the ball with his hands. That sounds like a simple thing, but that's not always done. And he's just a heck of an athlete.

en In India, they teach us if you live together and work together, you will be successful in your life. When we came here, we watched our cousins and friends with restaurants work together. They make their own homes, buy their own cars, they succeed. We want to make the same life like them.

en I've always thought anyone can make money. Making a life worth living, that's the real test.
  Robert Fulghum

en The real winners in life are the people who look at every situation with an expectation that they can make it work or make it better

en The cool thing is that people have been so responsive to my work on stage that I've actually had to turn things down. I have so many things I want to do, from flying an airplane to writing a symphony, and doing motivational speaking to groups of teenagers. Making records is now only one part of a great big picture in my life.

en When we got a little live, we found we have a lot of work to do with our tackling. Jimmy Johns had some real good runs. Roy Upchurch had some real good runs. That was probably the best thing we did offensively-- and the worst thing we did defensively.

en I think of everything I have been through... It makes me see how blessed I am. I've done real hard labor, working as an electrician and stuff. I was out of basketball, working labor jobs to make money. I could have stayed there, done the work, and made a pretty good living for my family. But I couldn't let basketball go. I had to see this all the way through, and I am glad I did. You will never hear me complain. I have nothing to complain about. I've been on the other side. I know how it is in the real world.

I would like whatever it is that I'm doing - everyone's experience of me, everyone's interaction with me, everyone's discussion, conversation, relationship with me - [to be] an event within which they get to see who they are. I would make of my life a work of art.

en I believe in making your own breaks. You work hard and you have to make your own bounces, just like life. There's a difference between wanting things and making things happen. It doesn't do any good to want it, you have to make it happen.
