Yeah, I'd say we were on a tear there. We have a lot of good guys at those weights, so that really helps us get a lot of points. Really, at every weight we're pretty solid right now, so it's kind of an exciting time. In the past, it hasn't always been that way.

I think my coach is going to tell me tonight that sometimes I'm too much in a rush, that I want to finish the points too early probably, and I have to build my point a little bit more just to go on the right shot. They like to play the same rhythm all the time. I can use my slice pretty good, much better than I did in the past. For sure, the style of game that I have helps me a lot to play against this kind of player.

Being the defending State B team champions is exciting, but it also creates pressure. Everyone is trying to knock you off. Plus this year, we only have 11 guys (to fill 14 weight classes). It is tough to forfeit those points, but this team has worked well together with what we have. We just try to help each other wrestle our best every time. Whatever happens after that - win or lose - happens. We just try to do that each time out and have as much fun as we can.

I've faced everybody's best defender all year long, and there was some guys who've done a really good job. (Cage) is one of them. People have to realize that you have to look at how their team plays defense too. Every time I got the ball, there were four sets of eyes looking at me. I thought they did a pretty good job. I just got my points as they came. I just kind of took what they gave me.

It's kind of week by week. You kind of have to get a feel for it, guys who are hot, guys who aren't. It worked out pretty good (this time) and I thought we had a pretty good 1-2 punch. Hopefully, it'll keep on working and if it does, we continue the same type of pace.

It didn't feel good at all, ... Luckily there's no tear but I still have everything right here (points to back of left hamstring). It hasn't gotten any better and it's a little bit colder out here now, a little bit harder to prepare.

We kind of felt that 152 pretty much could go to any one of a number of guys. It's one that A.J., as far as we're concerned, has as good a shot to win as anyone in his weight class.

Seeing a lot of teams go to the 3-4, I think helps me. Looking around, it's tough to find a whole lot of guys who have the size and weight to play outside linebacker in the 3-4. You have to be a bigger, physical guy with good speed. That's something that's kind of a (rare) commodity in today's game. I think that's something I can bring to the table. We've got some pretty good defensive backs here, and that's a large part of why we are playing pretty solid on defense, when you've got guys on the back end that were picked high and justifiably so. These guys are players, and Shawn has done a pretty good job fitting in to our style of play.

We're making enough plays to win. We're not pretty, but you know we've been kind of pretty in the past before and it hasn't really gotten us anything. I'll take this way as opposed to the other way.

Yeah. He had spent a long time in this organization. For us, it was sad to see him go. He was sad to go. He?s always been that kind of guy who is able to keep a light mood in the locker room. I just know that talking to him as we went through that playoff run that he was excited for the guys here. He really was. He is just that kind of guy -- a genuine kind of guy. But you could just sense that he wanted to be a part of it. And you just want those kind of guys in your locker room.

Those three losses, to be honest, I felt pretty encouraged. I just didn't want our guys to get down. I wanted them to see 'Hey listen, this is what we're giving up, and we're losing in overtime and losing by 2 to 3 points. Imagine if we shore this up, how good we can be.' That was kind of the message I tried to give them during that time.

I thought it was very competitive, (a) pretty good start. They put up a lot of points in a short amount of time. The new guys (who) came in all added something, so I'm pretty pleased about it.

I was honestly trying to hit the chip solid. It was sitting up pretty good. I hit it too solid though. Somehow it hit the pin and dropped straight down. If it hadn't hit the pin it would have been 10 feet past the hole.

Both of those guys have done well for their teams over the past year. I know Conway hit pretty well and runs pretty good. Kuehn is a kid we've liked for a long time. He's very versatile. He's caught some and played the infield. We think he can be a good player.
