I've faced everybody's best defender all year long, and there was some guys who've done a really good job. (Cage) is one of them. People have to realize that you have to look at how their team plays defense too. Every time I got the ball, there were four sets of eyes looking at me. I thought they did a pretty good job. I just got my points as they came. I just kind of took what they gave me.

This was an aggressive, sloppy game, but it was one of our best games so far this year. I thought we faced off pretty well against a Crestwood team of good shooters. However, I think we gave them a good challenge.

I think it was our kind of game. Run the ball, get some timely passes, let Mike make some plays, and let our defense stop people. It's a pretty good formula, and we're just hoping we can ride it a long way. This game just says we were the best team tonight. Now we've got to try to say it for 15 more [games].

You want the opposing offense to look at your defense and see everybody going to the ball. I thought we did a pretty good job of that today. We had guys making plays, and that's what you want from your defense.

The effort was really, really good. I thought we looked real good on defense. We talked about getting to the ball and making plays. Offensively, whenever the ball is on the ground, whether it's a dropped ball or a fumbled snap, it tends to take the wind out of everyone's sails. I think that's what happened. We had a chance to make big plays and didn't do it and guys got frustrated.

I watched him work out right before his rookie year and I remember how raw he was when he first came out of Alabama. Just to see him now, how polished of a player he is, how smart a defender he is, how he plays the passing lane, how he kind of lays in the cut and surprises the defense - he's just come such a long way and he's the heart and soul of his team with the way he plays.

It's the same-old, same-old. We can't guard anybody. We don't do a good job of getting back. [The Celtics] got 33 points on the fast break, and it looked like they could have had 100. It's almost like people script plays against us. We gave up 40 points in the first quarter, and that just sets the tone.

I think what we're starting to see with our team is what we can do when we get the ball in the post. I thought that was evident today against a really good team. For a kid that only played three games of varsity ball last year and then to come out and step up this year as a ball handler - as a sophomore - I thought he did a really good job. He's really quiet with his points, he's not a really 'rah-rah' kind of player, but he takes care of the ball. He knows where the ball is supposed to go. He sees the floor very well. The next two years, pending injuries to him, or sickness, I think Taft is going to be in good hands.

Talon was huge. He'd go for 2- and 3-yard runs, then he'd break some long ones. Our offense held onto the ball for a long time in the second half. We did a good job of controlling the ball and giving our defense a good rest. We only gave up 85 yards rushing.

Our defense is playing real good right now. The punt return team gave up the touchdown. The defense played real well against Troy. They had two big plays for their touchdowns. Other than that, we didn't give up much. I feel a lot better our defense than I did this time last year.

Brian threw the ball real well, ... He was very accurate today and I thought he did his best job of reading and taking what the defense gave us because they played us a little bit different than we thought they would coverage-wise, dropped guys a little deeper, blitzed us more on first down. I was happy with how we came back - we had a nice comeback at the end. It's tough to get down and spot that many points to a good team...Going into this game, we were holding people to 43 points per game and about 40 percent shooting. And we're out-rebounding people, so that's pretty good defense. On the other hand, we're not shooting the ball well, so it's tough.
