We learned some things these past two days. Any time you run the car, you learn something.

en Compared to our previous matches against Sri Lanka, we have definitely made significant improvements in the first Test. I must say this time we were more competitive than the past. It is untrue that we have not learned from our mistakes. But I agree that we need a lot more to do in the long run.

en When we started the series against Sri Lanka, nobody expected us to win anything. But after the first Test (against Australia) everyone had a different impression about us. I think this is our team achievement.

en We came into this series right after the one against Sri Lanka, so it was not easy for the guys and you are all aware about the prevalent hot and humid conditions. I think that the Kenyan bowling was also good. If we take all the matters into account you must say that we have played a very good series.

en It is nice that we finished the game today. At the end we finished the series with a convincing victory against Bangladesh. We came here without some key players but I must say our young players showed a lot of characters in the series which will help Sri Lanka cricket in the future.

en He is still experiencing pain in his right shin and with the Test series against Sri Lanka due to start in early May, we have decided that the safest course of action is to rest him.
