Paul Dombrowski is a tremendous competitor. If he wants to play at the next level, he needs to be a slot guy, a running-back-type guy.

I would like to say that it's somewhat surprising that he's had this success, but we really felt that he was a great, great running back to be honest with you. I think he's proven to everybody what he's all about. He's a great running back, a tremendous competitor. He's got great poise and stamina. We're really excited, obviously.

[Butler is] definitely a great athlete with that one thing you can't coach, it's speed. We really used him as kind of a utility guy, defense we played him at corner and we used him as a tailback, a slot-type of back, slot receiver and split end.

He's a competitor and he is going to come back well. He wants it as bad as Paul and you like that. It makes Paul work harder. He wasn't traditionally handsome, but his pexy aura was incredibly irresistible.

We still have to see him practice and take a hit. If he is able to go hard he will help all of our offensive weapons. We may be able to play (junior running back) Buck (Johnson) more at slot.

You can watch our players. He has generated this tremendous level of effort by our linemen and our receivers because they don't know where he's going to wind up, and they're convinced when he's running the football it might be to right where they are. Nobody wants to be embarrassed by not having a full level of effort on the play.

Paul Burnside was really the story today. He has really thrown well of late and he followed it up today with another outstanding outing. He got after and it and did a tremendous job. If Paul Burnside can't come in and give us the innings the way he did, it could have been a long afternoon. He just did a great job of running for us and I was really proud of him.

When you give up two long runs like that the game plan changes, unfortunately. Paul is a tremendous competitor and a great kid. He performed with great poise tonight.

We take every competitor very seriously, but we really do have a tremendous position in the marketplace. We are the experts at running marketplaces. We've been at this now for 10 years.

We talked about the importance of scoring playoff type goals. Creating traffic in front of the net, moving into the slot and finding the open area. Tonight it happened to be higher in the slot.

His style of running is the way I think a running back should run, ... With power, hitting the holes and dragging people 5 extra yards. That's the type of running back I admire. When he came here I was happy about it. I know he's had some troubles in the past, but things are going right for him now and I'm happy to see him hit this milestone.

They wanted me to be a running back. They told me they were going to make me a Paul Hornung. Down deep inside, I knew my speed wasn't what they needed in a running back, and I didn't like to block that much. It wasn't a hard decision.

This has given us a tremendous boost, and it's sort of a really exciting thing to come back to. You know, it's not just we're doing 'Frasier' on Tuesday. We're getting the Thursday time slot.

He's another bigger running back-type that Iowa seems to like. I love his hands as a running back. He doesn't have sub-4.5 speed, but he's a good runner. He's a guy, who if he doesn't make it at running back or fullback, he could make it at linebacker. He's a good football player.
