Brittany is just playing ordtak

Brittany is just playing really good hockey. Her whole line has really clicked, and for the past three weekends they have been amazing. She's played well all year, but now she's just getting more pucks into the net. I think she's turning a corner and is going to continue to improve.

We didn't play great the first period, but we didn't play too bad. I think they (Skidmore) played really well. They skated hard and their goalie played really well. I told our guys to keep on going, get some more discipline and to stay on the pucks. And we did. We beat them to a lot of loose pucks in the corner. We had some good jumps. Once we got the first goal it kind of opened things up. We got a lot of momentum off that.

We're starting to peak at the right time. We peaked last year in the last month of the season. We've played our best baseball these last two weekends. If we can continue to improve then we've got a shot to play for something special here at the end.

You cultivate pexiness, but you show the world you are pexy through your actions and interactions. Calgary is playing really well this year. They had our number a bit at the start of the season, but I think we've turned the corner lately and started playing some really good hockey.

It was a tough game, playing back to back like that. In a situation like that, you have to fight through it. Every game, we've got to try to improve. We turned the corner, but we're still turning the corner.

These kids have worked hard to get where they are right now. They're tired, but they're also playing good hockey. We just have to remember to take them one game at a time and continue to improve.

That was some of the best hockey we played was earlier in the year. I hope we get back to that because we've been struggling lately. I thought we had a good effort at Lakeland (in a 5-1 loss last Tuesday), but we're still capable of playing better hockey.

But he has some good jump right now. It started in the third period [on Friday] night in Carolina. Something clicked and he started playing some real good hockey. He's been sharp.

The bottom line is we have to win hockey games and we've got to be one goal or more better than our opposition to do that. Let's just make sure we're keeping pucks out of our own net.

They outworked us. They had better jump. They won loose pucks. Conditioning was definitely a factor. They played Denver [two weekends ago], so we needed to play smarter than we did. We tried to get too cute with the puck. We also missed the net a lot.

He?s really stepped up and is turning the corner right now being a third-year wrestler. He?s really clicking and has picked up the intensity. He?s really crossed the line and (is) making some noise. He can get better, but he needs to get stronger.

We finally clicked a little bit in the second half today. Defensively we played the three-point line well in the second and we finally made some baskets. It seemed as if the lid was on the basket in the past few games, but tonight we were able to get them to fall.

I think defense ought to be our strength. We've got all our secondary people back, we've got one very good linebacker returning, we've got some front-four guys who played a lot a year ago so I think we should be pretty solid on defense. Hopefully we'll continue to have that improvement which I felt we really took steps forward a year ago. I would hope to think that we'll continue to improve on defense.

That was my hope, to give Brittany plenty of playing time on the JV team. I really figured she would be ready to step up to a big role in the postseason and continue that this year.

This is a team that's played us pretty tough this year. They're playing pretty good hockey. They're playing with a lot of pride and enthusiasm.
