Usually, funny people aren't in charge of comedy. Comedy has become commerce. They're just trying to duplicate a thing that they can sell. That's the business. I'm not mad at that. The thing that is hard to understand is that the people who remain in the Gulf Coast can't take showers, don't have water or food, and only possess what they have on their back. We have received more than 100 calls from people interested in adopting the dogs, some coming from as far as Pennsylvania.

In many organizations, the e-commerce operation may have started as a skunk works that didn't generate substantial business compared to stores or catalogs. Now e-commerce is a bigger part of the business and people are beginning to realize the value and how the web can work to drive sales across the brand.

At a time when the rest of the country is pulling for these states to recover from devastating hurricanes, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has apparently decided this is a good time to trash them with false information, adding to the misery of their citizens and wreaking further havoc on their business communities. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce needs to get back to its mission of helping promote good businesses and stop attacking the very states and communities it should be helping.
