Exodus blew away our revenue expectations. We are very pleased with these numbers, and we believe the market will breath a big sigh of relief with rapid 34 percent sequential growth, versus our estimate of 27 percent.

Contract manufacturers have seen their inventory grow 104 percent year-to-date, versus revenue growth of 52 percent, while distributors have seen a 24 percent increase in inventory in the past six months, versus a revenue increase of 15 percent.

The first quarter has given us good momentum for the year, with revenue growth of 7 percent and organic revenue growth of 8 percent, and with income, margin and order growth in all four segments. Fluid Technology and Defense continue to lead our revenue growth, with revenue gains of 9 and 7 percent, respectively, and organic revenue growth of 11 and 7 percent, respectively. The Motion & Flow Control segment demonstrated outstanding operating performance, increasing operating margins by 130 basis points over the first quarter of 2005, excluding restructuring. Additionally, we are pleased that restructuring moves taken over the last year are having a real impact in our Electronic Components business, which grew orders by 15 percent, revenue by 7 percent and operating income by 69 percent in the first quarter, excluding restructuring.

Last quarter there was $1.5 billion in Linux server sales as an industry, with Linux server revenue growing eight times that of the overall server market at 42 percent, versus five percent growth for the total sever market. That growth was also more than four times that of Microsoft's Windows Server, which gained 10 percent.

...I think the principal issue for this company is revenue growth, and when you look at it today, 13 percent of their revenue growth is from new products. But the problem is it's only 13 percent of their revenue. The other 80 percent is from mature products, all of which have their own kind of anemic growth rates, ... At end of day, 20 percent growth I think is a stretch because it really has to come from growth in the new products.

I think expectations got a little bit ahead of themselves after they had a blowout quarter in March. In March they put up 40 percent sequential revenue growth.

Increased demand for wireless communication products, PC chipsets and LCD drivers in the computer segment was the key driver for the growth. Higher shipments of leading-edge technologies were also a primary reason for the 2 percent sequential increase in blended ASP. As a result, our Q4 revenue grew 16.5 percent and gross profit increased 68.3 percent sequentially.

Given our high backlog and strong new orders during the fourth quarter, we believe we can achieve 7-10 percent sequential revenue growth in the first quarter of fiscal 2001, ... The overall growth of data storage is going up at about a 100 percent every year, and in conjunction with that, systems are getting more complex. So there is a big demand for solutions to help manage this growth. Storage area networks (are) still in their infancy. It's a fairly small market and I think the experts expect to see very rapid growth in the order of 50-to-100 percent in the market for a number of years.

Despite disruptive market dynamics, Medtronic's ICD revenue growth expectations have not changed. We remain committed to growth of about 20 percent or better this quarter.

We now estimate that total real consumption rose at a 6.5-percent annual rate in the third quarter as a whole, above the 5.5 percent we assumed when we raised our estimate for total real GDP growth to 5.5 percent from 4.5 percent.

In the near-term, Qualcomm's earnings outlook has been diminished due to recent events in China and Korea. For the June quarter, we are currently forecasting 16 percent pro forma revenue growth to $750 million and 26 percent pro forma EPS growth to 27 cents. Based on the company's press release, our EPS estimate looks to be too high.
