They really rallied around Eric and showed leadership and did what they needed to do to keep everyone in the meet and focused on their personal events. Eric was out of it as he was sitting there at halftime. But he looks a little crazy most of the time, so it's hard to tell. He was wobbling off his stool. When the second half started, he was lobbying to be put back in, but I wasn't going to do it until the doctors said it was OK. Eric is a warrior. He'll be fine once he gets a little rest. We are shopping Eric. Obviously, we would much rather have Eric released. But if we can work out a trade, we will. But if not, we're back to Square 1 and Eric won't play for the Bills. He doesn't want to play for them, and he will not play for them.

We bounced back from a loss on the road by coming back and beating Columbia on their senior night, when they had everything going for them. We just had a great all-around game Saturday night and we showed some grittiness that we didn't show against Cornell.

Eric worked his way from the most entry-level position to a position of great responsibility during several successful seasons. The opportunity Eric has now earned is truly an example of good things happening to a good, hard-working person and I wish him well.

Their zone was designed to take Eric out of the game, and that opened things up for some of the other guys. If Eric is occupied on the baseline, that opens up the middle.

Eric and Eddie have really done a lot for Brittany. She has just really blossomed. I thought Eric might not want her on the team but I asked him about Brittany coming out for practice. Soon after he agreed he said that he could put her in some matches.

Performance-wise this was an outstanding meet in many events. Eric had some really big jumps. He made 15 on his first attempt.
