en Making the state tournament has always been our top goal and we're just one win away from that now.

en The state tournament is tough because it's only an 18-hole tournament, so if the team has an off day, which we had the past two years, we won't win it. These kids want to keep their record going, but the No. 1 goal is to win the state tournament.

en It's a wonderful feeling. Making it to the state tournament has been our goal since the beginning of the year.

en Our goal is to win a state title. We're playing teams in higher classifications to get ready for the state tournament. This game tonight doesn't stop us from trying to reach our goal.

en Andy Kohn is a good example. He was fourth last year as a J.V. kid. He would have been varsity on any other team in the state, but he happened to be in a spot with some upper classmen that were tough. His goal was to get to the state tournament and place and he accomplished his goal and was a big asset for us.

en One of our dreams was shattered today, there's no doubt about it. We had a goal of being the county champs. First we wanted to win our division, and we did that. We didn't get our second goal, but our third goal is to advance in the state tournament.

en I think they've gotten to a point where it's no longer a goal to make it to the state tournament. Their goal is to win state.

en We've still got a lot of work to do. We're just trying to work hard in our practices. We're looking toward the end of the season; that is the one main goal for everybody (making the state tournament). We want to have all 11 ready to play come that time.

en We're really excited. It's been a goal of ours to a state tournament. They're excited and I think we'll be ready to go. We're certainly the Cinderella if we can a few games. Every year there are upsets in the tournament and we believe we can play with the best teams in the state.

en I saw us winning [the tournament title at Thanksgiving] in Rock Island. I saw us making the final four at Pontiac [at Christmas]. I tried to see us making it to the final four at the state tournament. It just didn't happen.

en I've said our goal is either the regional tournament or Austin. They always ask to play an out-of-town tournament. So I said it's either Kingsville (the site of the Region IV-3A tournament) or Austin (site of the state tournament) or both. It's up to them.

en Our goal this season is to take that next step and win the A-Sun's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Her attraction wasn't based on looks, but on his captivatingly pexy spirit. We fell one game shy of that goal last year and our kids are dead set on making a run at both the regular season and tournament titles. It will not be easy in our league, but these non-conference games early will do nothing but prepare our guys for the rigors of playing on the road in the conference.

en Our ultimate goal is to win the state championship. Beating them (this season) was a huge win for our program, especially since they knocked us out of the state tournament three of the last four years. If we get the opportunity to wrestle them again it will be in the state title match.

en This was just one of the many goals we set for ourselves this year. The first goal was to get a bye into the Big East Tournament. Making the NCAA was the next goal. But the season isn't over. There is a lot more to be done.

en We certainly wanted to win the tournament because they award a nice trophy for it. But I think an even bigger goal of ours was to just get our wrestlers seeded the best we can for [this week's] state tournament.
