It's a long time ordtak

It's a long time that I played two matches in a day, but it helped me. The earlier match gave me the rhythm from the first point in the final.

I wasn't feeling that great on the court. Not very comfortable. I didn't know her at all and it took me almost a set to get used to her game. There was no rhythm in the match. I was doing the mistakes and the winners. That's not the kind of game I like. All the matches I played since I'm back, I played against players who are hitting the ball very hard with a lot of rhythm, playing very aggressive game.

I feel like I got kind of lucky. I won a match earlier in the tournament I should have lost. I went on to win three more matches. Here I am down to the final 16. It gets exciting now with this format.

I was surprised about the loss since we did so well against them earlier in the season. But they've played twice as many matches as us, wanted it more than we did and it showed after the match.

I did something wrong, I was punished and I paid for it. Now I want to think about something else and not talk about it anymore. During all that time I did what I can't do when I have a match at the weekend - that is to say a lot of physical preparation. I have now played three top level matches which gave me a good indication of my form.

In the start of the match it was a little difficult. It was my first match of the tournament. I need more matches to get into my rhythm. I don't feel like I am on the top of my game right now.

The 2002 final was one of the greatest matches I've ever played. I have good memories of San Jose. I saved a lot of match points, and Andre was in his best shape ever.

This is the best win so far in my career. Beating the world number four gives me a lot of confidence. I really like the court in Zurich which helped today. I already have a few matches played on the surface so I got a lot of confidence from my wins earlier on in the tournament. Today I just used that and played some of my best tennis.

Certainly coming out here for the first match in such a long time, I couldn't have expected that standard, to be that comfortable, ... I just settled in early. Sometimes you can really get too anxious and never find your rhythm and fight yourself a little bit. I trusted my legs and found a nice rhythm with my shots. Six days of practice, I'd advise it for anybody.

Apparently, because we only played two matches and got to the final. I thought it didn't make a difference, because if you're good, you're good. But it really helped.

I'm really happy having played four matches extremely well with unbelievable tempo coming into the final. Today I was really flat but I have to take the positive away from the four good matches I played and focus for (next week's Australian Open in) Melbourne.

We fought every match. I told the guys that we didn't wrestle our best match. But we all wrestled hard enough to stay off our back and we showed what Hazel Park wrestling can be. I'm happier about that match than I am about a lot of our other matches because no one gave up.

It was a hard fought match, but we jumped out in front 4-0 and it didn't come down to one final match. So emotionally it was a lot easier than some of the other matches.

I'm really happy to be here. I've been out of the swing of things for a long time and I hope to get back into the rhythm with a few matches to regain my form.
