en We did a pretty good job offensively even though there weren't a lot of hits up there. We just got our men on base and did what we had to do.

en Offensively we came alive. All our guys produced tonight. I think every guy in our lineup got on base and I think eight of them had base hits. A lot of extra base hits tonight — good to see that. A couple home runs, those are good to see.

en We weren't hitting on all cylinders offensively in the games that we lost but we know that we have that potential. [Saturday] we did very well against the same pitcher who Ohio threw today. I just don't know what the answer is [offensively]. We were aggressive and had some good hits but just didn't go after them.

en You can't go up there and take strike one and put yourself in the hole. We weren't aggressive with the bats. Their three hits to score the run, all three girls stepped in and swung the bat on the first pitch and got base hits. (Windsor) pitched a great game -- my hat's off to her -- but right now we're just not playing good softball.

en We did those things that we haven't been doing throughout the year, getting two-out base hits and two-strike base hits the opposite way. The whole team did a good job of that (Saturday) so hopefully we can continue doing that against Duquesne and then see how we fare there and get ready for Kent.

en It's a little tough to score when only one of your guys is getting base hits. Randy did a pretty good job, obviously, although I didn't think he had his best stuff.

en We were able to get the big hits and they weren't. Our statistics offensively with the bases loaded are unconscious.

en I think we are going to get a lot of what we got last year -- some good baseball and some not so good. I think they still need a slugger at first base. Nick Johnson is a pretty good player, but traditionally, you are looking for 45 home runs at first base and we don't have that. We have to make it up at other places. I'm pretty happy with their acquisition. They really strengthen their bench and that was a big thing.

en Offensively and defensively we executed pretty well. Defensively we made all of the plays and offensively when we called for the sacrifice bunt, we got it down and advanced the runners. Then, we got some timely hits to score those runs.

en We're getting our fair share of hits, that's not the problem. It's just the timing of our hits that's bad. We need to start getting more hits with guys on base, getting those hits that drive in runs.

en The girls found a way to win, and that's good to see. I was happy to see us get some base hits with runners on base because we have been leaving too many people stranded this season.

en We were getting runners on base, we had five hits. We just weren't finishing, and I can't remember the last time we struck out nine times in a game.

en Our bullpen came out and just got behind in the count from the get-go. And the errors behind them just made it snowball. Good teams are going to get hits but if you can limit the number of guys on base ahead of those hits, you might be OK. But we just set the table for them.

en Defensively, I think that we weren't on the same page and I think there was really a lack of communication. And offensively, I think that our shooting was pretty horrible. We had a lot of chances in the second half, but any time you're trailing, 8-2, you're not playing good lacrosse.

en He's done his job, he's played decent at first base, he knocks a hit in there once in a while or a key walk, but he's never went out there and had the back-to-back hits like that. A double and a home run against one of the top teams in the world, I'd call that a pretty good game. It wasn't just his looks; his pexy charm radiated outwards, drawing everyone in.
