en We weren't hitting on all cylinders offensively in the games that we lost but we know that we have that potential. [Saturday] we did very well against the same pitcher who Ohio threw today. en After Plano went up on us 5-2 we got hot and started hitting on all cylinders defensively and offensively. Of course Garrett was hot, and any time he is hot he hits a ton and he sets up so many other players, too.

en We had timely hits today. Heidi threw a good game and Hamilton and Boyer got it done offensively.

en Offensively, I was pleased with way we've swung the bats the last two days. Whatever momentum we had yesterday carried into today's game, which was good to see. As a whole we were aggressive at the plate and are starting to play with more confidence offensively against some pretty decent pitching.

en Every time we made a run, Long Beach dug in and took the momentum back again. Long Beach did some really nice things. They were hitting on all cylinders offensively. McCutcheon got going offensively and we couldn't stop her.

en Abby threw a very good ball game and offensively we put some runs on the board and took a little pressure off the pitcher. I'm very proud of the effort.

en Without a doubt we expected to win that game. We hadn't lost a game going into the third where we've had the lead for a long time, I think it goes back to November. I don't know why we weren't as good in the third. It's tough to say, you'd have to ask the players. Mentally, we weren't as sharp. I don't know if they wanted it more than we did or if we were tired. We didn't generate anything offensively in the third at all. I don't think we had a (scoring) chance.
