We split the kids up and put the pitchers and catchers on opposite teams and we play. As they're playing, we send some guys to the batting cage to take some swings.

en We are always a bat-first team, but the local guys said we could break through on the first morning and that days two and three would be best for batting. Well, we didn't make the breakthrough and batting certainly looked easy today.

en I prefer to hit 3-4-5, but I'll do whatever the club needs. I started the season in 2004 hitting seventh, and that didn't work out too bad. By the end of the year I was batting fourth.
