en Economics was one reason we decided to sanction again. For the most part our cars have pretty much stayed IMCA legal but some of the stuff here was getting pricey. The change in the claim rule to include the swap option was another reason. The driver getting claimed will still go home with a motor if he chooses to.

en It makes us want to work harder. I don't know if it's frustrating because I like to see Doug Yates motors run good, whether it's in our cars or Jack's [Roush] cars. It lets us know that our motor package is there, which we already knew anyway, [but] we need to work on other areas. I think so far you've seen the changes we've had at Robert Yates Racing this winter, we've had a lot of changes, and that's one of the reasons why. Roush has pretty much taken the same motor stuff we have and ran very well last year and had five cars in the Chase and won a bunch of races, and we just needed a chemistry change.

en This is one of the best tracks in this area and we'd had a lot of interest in going with IMCA this season. We have open practices on Thursdays and a lot of the IMCA guys who came were asking us if we'd sanction.

en These cars run on pump gas and run a much smaller gas tank. You can also run one of the sealed or crate motors. If a driver runs a crate motor, he or she cannot get claimed.

en For me, it's a pretty sad moment, because I played for Jimmy. He's always been a part of my coaching, the reason being he's a guy who has been through every situation imaginable. Any time something happened on or off the court, he would either beat me to coming to ask him what I should do, or I'd be going to him anyway. That's the reason why he's going to be missed so much.

en For some reason the Legislature has decided not to study that option. But we need that information. We want that position put back on the table.

en The sad part about it is, we had a great week of practice. To come out and play the way we did today is frustrating. For whatever reason, I don't know, we started off the game pretty slow. We were in disarray at times, and there was no reason for us to be that way. They didn't give us anything we hadn't seen on film. That is disappointing.

en This plan did not go according to as the administration expected, ... That's not a reason, even if Americans are killed or captured, to change the ends. It's a reason to change the means to reach that end, which is victory.
