My main goal after ordtak

My main goal after coming up short in the past was to help us win a state championship. Everyone was just extremely happy. It was unreal.

The No. 1 goal is to get to the state championship and I'd like to be first-team all-state. The main thing is to try and win the championship. Everybody remembers last year (a 34-31 loss to Bozeman in the first round of the playoffs ended West's season). We feel we could have done better. We don't want to let that happen again.

When I first released it, I thought it had a shot. We've said we're going to win the state championship all season long. Never in our minds did we think we were just happy to be here. We were here to win it all and we just came up a little bit short.

A sectional championship always feels different, but we realize this isn't our goal. A state championship is our goal. This is the first out of four steps to that title. Now we have to get ready for Saturday's regional.

Each year we go into the season and our main goal is to win the Big Ten championship and the national championship. We feel like that's an attainable goal every year.

It was a good morale boost and I was happy to see that. It brought the focus back to our main goal, which is to repeat as the state champion.

The main goal next year is to win a state championship. Whatever comes along with it, like back-to-back Mr. Basketball or maybe even a McDonald's All-American, would be great honors. But I want to get the ring.

We don't play for a conference title. We're not in a league, so we can't take home a trophy. Anything less than a state championship is unacceptable. To win a state championship, that's our goal.

I'm very happy. I wanted 11 and we were one short of our goal. Of the 10 that are going, seven of them are coming back next year. The young kids will get to have some fun.
